Hello, I'm Elio. I was brought into the county shelter as a stray before coming to VOCAL. I can be a bit shy and nervous with new people, so I definitely need a person with patience who can help bring me out of my shell. However, I act like a different dog when I'm around other dogs! I love to play with dogs and being around them helps boost my confidence greatly. One other thing about me is that I love to chew on toys! Even though I can make a bit of a mess, I sure have a good time while doing it! Don't blame a guy for having fun!

Walter is not your average shelter dog—he’s a bold, opinionated guy with a lot to say and a whole lot of heart for the right person. He can be bossy and loud, especially when he’s excited or has something important to announce. One thing is non-negotiable: Walter LOVES toys. Loves them. Collects them. Buries them all over the yard like priceless treasure. He can get a little obsessive about them, so an adopter who understands boundaries and structure will be key. Walter does have stranger danger and needs time and patience to build trust. He isn’t the kind of dog who falls in love at first sight—but once he forms a relationship, his softer, more affectionate side starts to shine. The bond you earn with Walter is a special one. Because Walter does best with slow, thoughtful introductions, he is available by appointment only. Please call the shelter to check availability and set up a meet-and-greet.

Anthony and his sister came in from Georgia as rescue transfers. They are super sweet and cuddly, friendly with everyone and of course absolutely stunning!! Their beautiful brindle coats are amazing and their breed is not one we see often so we have been super excited having them in rescue but it is time for them to go to their Furever home ( more photos coming soon) The adoption donation is $475 If you have questions or would like to meet him, please make sure to include your phone number in your response

Antoinnette came to us from another rescue in Georgia. She was brought here by plane and we have enjoyed every second of watching her grow to be the little lady that she is. It is now time for her to find her if you are EVER Home and we are anxiously waiting to see who the perfect fit will be for her. Her breed is very smart so she will need somebody that’s willing to train her and help her to grow to be everything a smart dog like her can be. Although she is absolutely stunning. Please make sure to look up the breed Dutch Shepherd before inquiring, we don’t see these too often and rescue, so we are super excited to have them here, but we are more excited to watch them go to the FUVER homes. It must be the right homes she will be fine with a single person or a large family. she just needs attention and guidance Adoption donation is $475.
