Story
Meet this shining girl named Diamond! Diamond would love a nice human bed to snuggle into as her previous owner said she loves to use a pillow like a person! She has done well with small humans (children!) often being as gentle as she can, soft licks and little wiggles can be expected! Diamond does need someone willing to teach her entry/exit boundaries as she has a tendency to dart out of the house to chase the neighborhood kitties (would do best in a home without small animals it seems) She has shown in the bit of time her previous owner had her, that she is house trained! This sweet girl can`t wait to wiggle her way into your heart, come and meet her today!Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving with you. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet.

Story
Rory is a sweet, independent girl who has officially retired from the chaos of life and is now focused on the important things: soft beds, regular meals, and keeping a quiet watch over her people. She’s not a cuddle bug—and that’s okay. Rory prefers to share space rather than be in your lap. She likes to know where her humans are at all times and will happily follow you from room to room, then settle into her dog bed nearby to supervise. Rory is calm and low-key. Visitors don’t faze her—she’ll likely snooze right through a holiday gathering. Car rides? No problem. She simply curls up and sleeps. She currently lives with two large dogs and does just fine, enjoys a little playtime a few times a day, and would likely be okay with cats as well. Rory enjoys exploring the yard and would do best with a fenced area. She’s not great on a leash, so yard time is her happy place. She’s not demanding, not clingy, and not flashy. Rory is for the person or couple who is mostly home, appreciates quiet companionship, and understands that love doesn’t always look like cuddling—it can look like a watchful presence, a wagging tail at shoe time, and gentle mouthing that says, “Hey, don’t forget about me.” Rory just wants a soft place to land and people she can keep an eye on. If you’re looking for a peaceful companion who will share your space—and your routine—she might be your perfect match. If you are interested in learning more about Rory, please call 812-988-7362 or submit an adoption application at the link below. After the application is received, an adoption counselor can reach out to you directly. https://www.bchumane.org/adoption-application/ *All dogs will be neutered, vaccinated with age-appropriate vaccines, heartworm tested, current on parasite prevention and microchipped.

Story
Hello there, I'm Eric! Don't let my numerical name fool you, I'm all heart and no math. I'm just a puppy, but I've got a lot to give. I love to play and make everyone around me smile. My favorite game? Fetch, of course! I'm gentle with everyone I meet, making sure to greet them with a wagging tail and a soft nudge. I'm also quite the sweetie, always ready for a cuddle or a nap on a warm lap. You'll find that I'm a quick learner too, eager to please and quick to understand commands. So why should you adopt me? Well, I promise to fill your life with joy, laughter, and unconditional love. I may be just one pup, but I have enough love for four! DOB: 11/20/2024 Adoption fee: $200

Story
5 year old Belgian. We moved to Indiana due to job promotion. Our kids growing up are participating in sports and other activities, so with jobs and kids schedule busier than ever, we are having trouble being able to spend as much time as we'd like to at home and with our dog. She comes from a breeder of police dogs from Louisiana. She is in excellent shape. She's playful, very smart, and spunky. She loves kids. She's house trained and kennel trained.
