Yahtzee #26026; female; mixed breed. Estimated age 1 year; approximate weight 50#. Heartworm Negative. Spayed and up-to-date on shots. This beautiful dark brindle girl was found starving on the side of the highway when a trucker picked her up. He had her vetted and back to a healthy weight and planned to keep her. Life plans changed and he found himself in need of lengthy medical treatment and a long hospital stay. Living alone, he had no choice but to surrender her. For almost two months she was in a home environment and riding shotgun in a truck. During her time with the finder she played with a 4 year old child. She was not exposed to dogs but did live with a cat. She is housebroken and walks well on leash. At the shelter she plays with her roomie, Copper.

And one day she walked inside. 💛 That was the moment Marge discovered something life changing. Humans are not so bad after all. Now this resilient girl has blossomed into a sweet companion who is learning what love, comfort, and safety truly feel like. After spending years fending for herself, she is finally ready to find what she has never had before. A real family. - What Marge Needs • A secure, fenced yard where she can feel safe and explore • A patient and loving family willing to continue building her confidence • A home without small children, as she is still a little jumpy around tiny humans • Commitment to her care. She is heartworm positive, but we will cover the full cost of treatment. Her forever family simply needs to make sure she gets to her appointments. At 7 years old, Marge is not looking for chaos. Lilly is the daughter of my other dog and my best friend’s Shepherd. She was the last puppy from the litter, and I’ve been looking for the perfect home for her ever since. She is such a sweet dog, though she can be a little standoffish at first like many Shepherds are. Once she gets comfortable, she’ll never leave your side!
