Story
This is Charles. We adopted him from Young Williams at the end of February. He is almost 2yr old, 68lb, neutered, chipped, house trained and crate trained. He is the sweetest dog - he is just too big for our young, rambunctious boys. He loves our 2 cats. He doesn’trequire much activity a day to get his exercise in. We have a fenced in yard and play outside or walk, but he loves being inside and would love to be your lap dog. He is gorgeous and has never had an accident in the house. He loves his kennel and we will send him to his new home with his kennel/padding, food and the next 4-5 months of heartworm/tick/flea medication. We thought we were ready for a dog and this one is the best, the only reason we are giving him away is that our 3 year old is so full of energy and zest that Charles tries to ‘Shepard’ him and has tried to nip him. They are about eye to eye in height and we just can’t risk an accident. He would be great in a home with older/taller kids or no kids.

Story
Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. I just want to greet and say Hi and give kisses and hugs to my peeps. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Puff is a very special baby. We were contacted by a shelter about a 2 week old puppy who had been found on the side of the road. He appeared to have been thrown out of a car window. His jaw was broken and he had wounds on his jaw and face consistent with road rash. We took him in to rescue and luckily he was able to bottle feed. His jaw seems to have healed on his own and doesn't slow him down at all, it's just slightly crooked and hangs open at times. Puff is going to be a large breed dog with a thick coat of hair. He is also already showing signs of being stubborn. He will require an adopter who is familiar with grooming and training. We have sent out a DNA test but do not expect the results back until late February. Puff has been fostered with dogs, cats, and children and does great with all. He is still very young so he is not house trained. Puff is being fostered in Knoxville, TN and his adoption fee is $300. He will be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention prior to neuter.

Story
Heidi is looking for new home! She is 2.5 yrs old and is West German show line. Heidi is sweet but needs to be with a dedicated owner that can offer a lot of time and training towards her. Shes very smart and teachable with a high food drive. Lives with a cat, that she tries to chase frequently but never has acted aggressively towards! Just very playful… too playful for the cat! Lives with 8 month old baby that she has done amazing with! Heidi’s had no bite history but takes time to warm up to strangers. Very reactive towards dogs she doesn’t know which makes going in public difficult. Looking for an adopter that has time, resources and experience with working dogs. This girl would be a great companion. I have no doubt with time and a lot of exercise she would make an amazing hiking partner or farm dog! Main reason for rehoming is the stress and attention she needs. Main areas she needs help navigating are: -Dog reactivity -obedience training(counter surfing, excessive barking)
