She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED This beautiful brindle boy hasn’t found his forever home yet! Juno is a ~4-5 year-old, 60lb Shepherd mix found as a stray in CA. Although his appearance is a mix of stunning with a hint of intimidating, Juno is a very sweet and loving boy! He loves to be out exploring with his person and would make an amazing adventure companion, especially for someone who enjoys the outdoors! He is very sweet with his handler and will sometimes jump up to give a hug out of excitement of just being with his person. He will be a very loyal dog to whoever adopts him, and is looking for a person to call his own! Juno will need an active family with a standalone home that has a yard for him to run and explore. He is incredibly smart and will thrive with adopters who will continue his training and provide him the physical and mental stimulation he requires. He is very smart however, and learns quickly! He already knows sit, down, and “happy spin” when being fed. Juno can be somewhat selective about other dogs and wouldn’t mind being the only dog. However, he could do well as an additional dog to a home with a proper introduction and proper boundaries set in the home. He walks incredibly well on leash, and would love to find his forever home soon that can appreciate how amazing he is! Juno is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and not tested with cats. His adoption fee is $400.

Born in June 2020, Dexter suffered a severe break in his leg and had to spend much of his youth on restricted activity so it would heal. He is fully healthy now, and his leg made a full recovery. Dex is great on leash, loves his walks, and bonds strongly with his humans. In typical GSD fashion, he likes to have something to do, so having a home with people who are around and will include him in adventures and outings is preferred. He is full of energy and has lots of love to give. Dexter has gone through great training, he is easy to walk on leash, he listens well, and enjoys learning new behaviors and games through training. He especially loves playing with his toys. His favorite playtime activities are fetch and tug and showing off his toys by playing on his own. Dexter benefits from longs walks and hikes where he can sniff and explore. Dexter’s favorite past time is chilling on his bed with a Kong or bully stick. A securely fenced yard, no kids or cats is required for Dexter’s home. Meet Lucy! Lucy and her sister were dumped in early May at a home that is unable to keep them. They appear to be German shepherd and labrador mixes. While we don't know her precise birthdate, we estimate that Lucy was born in Spring 2023. Although they were very scared at first, the sisters soon began to trust their caretakers and relax a little. Lucy is alert, obedient, and always lets her sister have food first. She is a bit shy at first, but warms up pretty quickly to new people. Lucy is ready for a home of her own with people to dote on her. She is fairly large (about 65 lbs.), so she would do best in a home without small children. Lucy may be okay with friendly dogs and would probably do best in a home without cats. Meet Brody! This German shepherd was born around 2019 and is sweet as can be. He loves to play ball and is quite friendly with people. His previous owners allowed him to roam, and he got in trouble after eating a neighbor's chickens, so he requires a home outside of Clallam County. Brody's ideal home will have great fencing and no farm animals. He does well with his son that came to WAG with him, but we have not seen him interact with other dogs or cats.
