Story
I had Ruby for three years since born, unfortunately I moved and the space Im in is way to small. Shes very friendly grew up with cats and small dogs and a bunch of children. Not picky with food, shes vocal and somewhat sassy but honestly what German shepherd isnt. She is potty trained and she is mainly an inside dog. I have a very small yard now so she has been jumping the fence frequently and I dont want her taken away because of it. I have not spayed her because I cannot afford it but she did have her rabies vaccine last year. Shes very desensitized to touch I can touch her paws, tail, and tummy without worry. Has never bitten or growled at anyone. Shes kind of a scaredy cat and shy to most stuff. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.(317)935-5344

Story
Meet Quincey!Quincey is a 1.5-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix who had a rough start in life after park staff witnessed him being cruelly abandoned and brought him to safety. Despite his past, Quincey is a happy, outgoing boy with lots of energy and a big love for playtime. He’s always ready for fun and would do best with an active home that can keep up with him. Quincey is still learning his manners and will need continued training. He already knows how to sit, is working on down, and is learning to be gentle when taking treats. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, he’s sure to keep improving.Quincey is looking for someone who will give him the time, structure, and love he deserves—and in return, he’ll bring plenty of joy and enthusiasm to his new home. ??This pet is available for adoption on 11/2/2025 1:39 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Katana!Katana is a gorgeous Shepherd/Husky mix with a heart full of sweetness and a playful spirit. This friendly girl loves to run and gets the zoomies when she’s excited—she’ll keep you laughing with her bursts of energy! Katana is still getting used to loud noises, so she’ll need a patient home that can help her feel safe and secure as she adjusts. With her affectionate nature and adventurous personality, Katana would thrive in a home where she can enjoy playtime, exercise, and plenty of love. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will brighten your days and keep life fun, Katana is ready to meet you! Please do your breed research before applying to adopt. Huskies and Husky mixes are very special dogs with unique requirements. They often have the inclination to roam and can be great escape artists. Huskies need to be active and do best with adopters that can help them burn extra energy with fun training. They can have strong prey drives, and while every dog is different, many huskies will chase cats and livestock. Grooming is also an important part of their routine, brushing them several times a week can help prevent their undercoat from matting and keep them looking their best. Huskies are a fun, active breed that many have fallen in love with over the years, but please keep their breed needs in mind when considering adding one to your household. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane-Ellensburg Shelter If you recognize this animal, please contact the adoption center at 509-925-7387 Ready to adopt?
