Story
Meet Molly, a one year old Shepherd/Husky mix weighing 50 pounds.Molly is a gentle sweetheart looking for a family ready to show her just how wonderful life can be. She came to us as a stray alongside Mia, and it’s clear that much of the world is still very new to her. New places, new experiences, and even simple everyday things seem to be things she’s still figuring out. While Molly can be a little unsure at times, she is slightly more outgoing and a bit quicker to investigate the world around her. She appears to have had very little experience with things like walking on a leash, so it can still feel a little scary and unfamiliar, but she is trying her best and has an eager-to-please personality that will help her go far.Molly could use some TLC and a family that understands the value of patience and gentle guidance. She has a sweet, soft nature and seems ready to soak up all the love and reassurance she can get. With time and encouragement, we think Molly is going to gain confidence and continue coming out of her shell. She’s a kind girl with a lot of potential, just waiting for someone to help her discover how exciting and safe the world can be.This pet is available for adoption on 5/21/2026 2:59 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Kali, a three-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix weighing 53 pounds.Kali is a sweet, gentle mom who has had a tough start in life. She was brought in as a stray along with her puppies and Khloe, who we believe is her sister. Though her past has made her a bit nervous, Kali has a quiet, loving soul just waiting for a patient, understanding home. She needs a little extra TLC and someone willing to go slow, allowing her to build trust at her own pace. Once she feels safe, Kali shows a sweet, devoted nature that makes all the patience worthwhile. She has met other dogs and has done well so she would be fine as an only dog or potentially happy to share her new home with another dog. She also did well when she saw cats but we recommend slow introductions. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion to nurture and watch blossom, Kali is ready for a calm, caring home where she can finally feel secure and cherished. She may be a little shy at first, but her heart is full of love for the right family. This pet is available for adoption on 2.17.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Meet Geoff, a four-month-old German Shepherd mix weighing 15 pounds. Geoff is a sweet, loving puppy with a heart as big as his long legs! This handsome boy is incredibly human-oriented and loves being around people. Whether he`s following you from room to room, soaking up attention, or curling up for affection, Geoff`s favorite place is wherever his humans are. With his leggy build and gentle personality, Geoff is the perfect combination of goofy puppy charm and loving companionship. He enjoys exploring the world around him but is always happy to check back in with his people. His affectionate nature and eagerness to connect make him a wonderful candidate for a family looking for a puppy who truly enjoys being part of the action.Like all puppies, Geoff is still learning about the world and will need a family committed to helping him grow into a well-mannered adult dog. His adopters should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, playing, exploring with his mouth, and occasional accidents while he learns house-training. Puppies require patience, consistency, and plenty of positive reinforcement as they develop good habits and learn household routines.Training is an important part of raising a happy, confident dog. Geoff will benefit from continued socialization, basic obedience training, and positive experiences with new people, places, and situations. Teaching skills such as leash walking, polite greetings, recall, and basic commands will help him build confidence and strengthen the bond he shares with his family.Geoff is looking for a home that will provide him with love, guidance, and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. In return, he`ll offer endless affection, loyal companionship, and all the fun that comes with raising a sweet puppy. This pet is available for adoption on 6/4/2026 4:39 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Winnie, a one-year-old Boxer/Shepherd mix weighing 33 pounds.Winnie is the kind of dog who makes people smile the moment she trots into a room, tail wagging, ready for fun, affection, or a full-speed zoomie session across the yard.Winnie was originally adopted from us as a puppy and was recently returned due to her chasing the family’s cat. Because of this, she will need a cat-free home or very careful, experienced management with small animals. She has a strong playful drive and may not be suited for homes with small pets. She is friendly, outgoing, and full of energy. Winnie LOVES to play, especially with other playful dogs, and she thrives in environments where she has appropriate outlets for her enthusiasm. Her zoomies are legendary, and she brings a fun, lighthearted energy wherever she goes.Like many young, active dogs, Winnie is still polishing her manners. She can be a bit mouthy when excited and will benefit from continued basic training and consistent guidance. The good news is she already has a strong foundation — she is potty trained and was crated at night in her previous home, showing she can adapt well to structure and routine. As a brindle beauty with a goofy underbite, Winnie is as striking as she is entertaining. She’ll do best in a home that appreciates her playful spirit, is ready to continue her training, and can give her the exercise and engagement she craves. With the right structure and outlets, Winnie has all the makings of a loyal, fun, and very loving companion. This pet is available for adoption on 5.8.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. $50 Adoption fee! Why so low? Yakima County is spilling over with stray and dumped dogs. Our goal is to get dogs into the right homes ASAP so we can help other dogs in need. It's not about the money, it's about finding the right home for these pups! Jazzy spent several months at the Humane Society before coming to our rescue. She was found in the street in rough shape, like she had to fend for herself for quite some time. It’s obvious she was bred multiple times, then probably dumped. Jazzy is friendly to everyone and likes to be close to her humans. She’d love to be the center of attention by being the only dog, but she will tolerate fur siblings. She’s up for any new adventure or laying around the house. Sometimes I catch her just hanging out outside in the cold by choice. This sweet girl is ready to find a family of her own that will give frequent scratches and cuddles. This dog is located in Selah, WA. PetFinder allows multiple postings of the same animal as long as the postings are 100 miles apart from each other. This way we can reach far and wide to find the perfect home for this dog. If driving to Selah is difficult for you, we will do our best to find a rescue partner to meet you halfway. Story
Meet Titan, a one year old Belgian Malinois mix weighing 51 pounds.Titan is a stunning young dog with gorgeous sable coloring, long legs, and an athletic build that turns heads wherever he goes. While his looks are impressive, it`s his sweet and sensitive personality that really steals hearts.Titan is a submissive boy who looks to his people for guidance and reassurance. He wants to be close to you, follow your lead, and figure out the world together. A little unsure in new situations, Titan takes comfort in having someone he trusts by his side. Once he feels safe, his affectionate nature shines through, and you`ll quickly discover that belly rubs are one of his favorite things in the world. We suspect Titan may have some Belgian Malinois in his background. Dogs with Malinois traits are known for their intelligence, loyalty, athleticism, and strong desire to work closely with their people. They often form deep bonds with their families and thrive when given structure, training, and opportunities to use both their minds and bodies.Titan seems to have that same intuitive nature, always watching his people and looking for direction. He isn`t the type of dog who wants to be the boss—he`s looking for a confident owner who can show him the way. With patience, guidance, and plenty of love, Titan has all the makings of an incredibly devoted companion. If you`re looking for a handsome best friend who wants nothing more than to be your shadow, Titan may be the perfect match. This pet is available for adoption on 6/6/2026 9:08 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
