Meet Molly, a one-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix weighing 50 pounds.Molly is a gentle sweetheart looking for a family ready to show her just how wonderful life can be. She came to us as a stray alongside Mia, and when she first arrived, so much of the world was still brand new and a little overwhelming for her.At first, Molly was unsure about new places, new experiences, and even simple everyday things. With time, patience, and care, she has made incredible progress and her true personality is starting to shine. She is a sweet, soft-natured girl who is learning that the world can be a safe and happy place.Molly has blossomed into a wonderful companion. She now enjoys going for walks and has discovered that exploring the world with her people can be a lot of fun! She does well in a crate, uses a dog door like a pro, and did great with potty training in a home environment. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and plays well with her canine friends.Molly is a food-loving girl who gets very excited about mealtime! She enjoys her meals so much that she may try to help herself to another dog`s food if given the opportunity, so her future family will want to keep an eye on unattended bowls. While Molly may still need some reassurance as she continues building confidence, she has shown how much she is capable of learning and growing. She has an eager-to-please personality and responds beautifully to patience, gentle guidance, and positive experiences.Molly is a kind, loving girl who has already come so far. Story
Meet Khloe, a three-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix weighing around 50 pounds.Khloe is a sweet, friendly girl with a unique look and a curious spirit. She was brought in as a stray alongside her sister, Kali, and while she shares some of Kali’s shyness, Khloe is a bit braver and more willing to explore the world around her. She’s gentle and affectionate, though still a little unsure at first — the perfect companion for someone willing to go slow and let her confidence grow. Her curious nature means she loves to investigate new sights and smells, always with a thoughtful, cautious approach. She has met other dogs with us and has shown to be playful so she might do well in a home with another dog to help her out of her shell or she could be fine as an only dog. She also did well when she saw cats but we recommend slow introductions. Khloe is ready to find a loving home where she can continue to gain confidence, share her sweet personality, and show off her one-of-a-kind charm. She may start a little shy, but with patience and love, she’ll become a devoted, joyful companion. This pet is available for adoption on 2.17.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Spila (pronounced `Speelyi`, meaning Coyote), a five-year-old Husky/German Shepherd mix weighing 51 pounds.Spila is a smart, playful girl who`s ready to find a home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and truly be herself. She was brought to the shelter by Animal Control, and while we don`t know much about her past, it`s clear that the kennel environment has been stressful and confusing for her. Inside the shelter, Spila can seem unsure and overwhelmed—but take her outside, and you get to meet a completely different dog. Her playful, affectionate personality comes shining through, and you can see the wonderful companion she`s capable of becoming.Spila is a clever girl who already knows several commands, including `sit,` `sit pretty,` and `shake`! She is very treat motivated, enjoys learning, and loves squeaky toys. She is also kennel trained and responds well to `kennel up.` She`s a quick learner and would thrive with a family that enjoys continuing her training and keeping her mind engaged.Spila has plenty of personality, including her silly side—her nickname is Silly-Billy for a reason! She loves to have fun and will keep you entertained with her goofy antics. She`s also a natural mouser, so if you have a small critter problem, Spila may be happy to help take care of it!When it comes to walks, Spila does fairly well on a leash, though she can be a little stubborn with people she doesn`t know yet. Once she trusts you, she is happy to look to you for guidance and build that special bond. You may notice a mysterious scar on Spila`s side—a reminder that she has lived a life before coming to the shelter. We don`t know how she got it, but it doesn`t define her. Spila is ready to leave her past behind and focus on the happy future she deserves.Spila would do best in a home without young children where she can settle in at her own pace. She may also prefer a home without other large, dominant dogs. If there are other dogs in the home, a meet-and-greet will help determine if everyone is a good match.Spila is looking for a patient, committed family who will give her the time, consistency, and love she needs to feel secure. In return, you`ll gain a loyal, intelligent, funny companion who will reward your trust with endless affection and a lifetime of love.Could Spila be the silly, smart best friend you`ve been searching for? This pet is available for adoption on 7/4/2026 10:56 AM

Meet Leilei, a five-year-old Husky/German Shepherd mix weighing 55 pounds.Leilei is a lovely, easygoing girl who is ready to find a family to call her own. She was found as a stray and cared for by her finders for a time, but they were ultimately unable to continue caring for her. During her stay with them, they learned that Leilei is a friendly and affectionate companion who gets along well with men, women, and children. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, Leilei warms up quickly and soon shows off her sweet personality. She enjoys spending time with her people, loves treats, and has a charming talkative side that makes her even more endearing. Whether she`s quietly relaxing at home or accompanying you on an outing, Leilei is happy to be part of the action. One of Leilei`s favorite activities is going for walks, and she walks nicely on a leash, making her a wonderful companion for daily strolls. Best of all, she`s past the puppy stage, so she`s ready to settle into a home without the constant chaos and training demands that often come with young puppies. If you`re looking for a low-key, affectionate dog who enjoys companionship, walks, and the occasional tasty treat, Leilei could be the perfect fit. Story
Imani (E-Mon-E) was left by a river 2 summers ago and is the first rescue we took in. She was already about 4 when we got her and takes a little time to warm up, she is getting more trusting of people but she has her shy qualities. Ince she knows you she loves you, will ask for belly rubs, is a wonderful ballerina, she likes running, a yard or active family would be good. She gets along well with boy dogs, is a little iffy around other females. She is very sweet, she is almost 6 but still has a lot of energy and years to go.

Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Jasper is a very sweet boy, but due to an incident with a neighbors dog ( the dog was fine and the human was never in danger). the county said he will be labeled a level 3 ( though I am going to fight that) He is actually a very timid dog, still working on not jumping, leash skills, and listening. Needs an EXPIERENCED person and probably better out of county, he has never had problems with dogs before and we're pretty sure the neighbor is lying but we have to inform an adopter of this information.

He has pretty good manners already, enjoys spending time with people, and walks nicely on a leash, making him a fun companion for daily adventures.Joker is eager to learn and responds well to guidance. With a little continued training and polishing, he`s the kind of dog who is likely to become an amazing lifelong companion. He enjoys being part of the action and would thrive in a home that will continue helping him build on the skills he already has.The person who found Joker reported that he did well around their dogs and cats, suggesting he may enjoy sharing a home with other pets. As with any adoption, slow introductions are recommended. One thing to know about Joker is that he can be a bit of an escape artist—he has been known to hop a fence if left unattended outside.
