Hi I'm Jack! Even though my luck wasn't very good for a while, I got pretty lucky when I came to the Ark, because they saw I had hurt my leg and they took me to get all fixed up! The Vets took great care of me and after having a bit of surgery on my leg, I'm good as gold now! Now I'm hoping for the best luck of all - to have a family of my own. I'm a happy-go-lucky 4 year old who is a perfect size at 30 pounds and I'm ready to go anywhere with you! I love to walk on a leash and meet all your friends! When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, the most guesses were that I'm a Terrier/Feist mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

Donatello - better known as Donny - loves his soft little squeaky toys and hanging out with puppy pals in the yard. A cute kid with big puppy-dog eyes, he is loyal to his friends, and becomes friends in the usual way - treats! The way to a dog's heart truly is his stomach. He has learned leash manners and sit, and likes to show off his smile (don't mind that it is 'toothy'!). New things and quick movements can spook him, but a dose of your confidence helps overcomes his suspicions. Shelter pups are pad trained and worked with on housetraining.
