NEWEST HOARDER/BREEDER UPDATE!! We were alerted about a hoarding breeding situation over the weekend and quickly went to work. Thankfully, when we arrived the owner offered up this baby if we gave some donations in return and we were able to secure a foster and get her to safety. Cookie is a young terrier/aussie mix. She’s right at 1 year old and 7.4 lbs. She’s a little timid but that’s to be expected considering where she came from but she loved having a nice warm and clean bed to sleep in last night. Cookie is great with other dogs. She did wonderful in her foster home last night and seems to be adjusting beautifully. With a little patience to adjust to a new family this girl would make the perfect companion. Cookie is utd, spayed and ready for her forever family.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications!
