WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org 🌋🐾 Meet Pacaya — Adventure Enthusiast, Water Lover & Certified Good Girl 🐾🌋 Hi! I’m Pacaya, an athletic, happy, and downright charismatic girl with a heart full of joy and paws made for exploring. I’m friendly, engaging and I has got a gorgeous coat that goes from a warm tan to a rich red when the sun hits me just right. I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. I thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting out and doing things — I make an excellent hiking buddy, jogging partner, or “let’s-see-what’s-over-there” companion. But don’t let my athletic side fool you — once the adventure is done, I’m all about the wind-down life. Belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging with my people and giving the best hugs are absolute perfection. I’m not wild or frantic — just a well-balanced girl who knows when to go full throttle and when to relax like a pro. 🐾 Pacaya at a Glance: ✔️ ~2 years old, ~40 lbs of happy athletic energy ✔️ Friendly, confident, and full of personality ✔️ Loves hiking, swimming, and climbing ✔️ Great with other dogs ✔️ House trained and well-mannered ✔️ Smart, attentive, and eager to engage with her people A quick note from management: while I adore dogs and humans, cats and chickens are not on my guest list. (Nothing personal — just best to admire them from afar.) I bring joy into every space I enter, communicate with my bright eyes and expressive personality, and truly enjoy being part of a family. I pay attention, listen well, and love being involved in whatever my humans are doing — especially if it ends with a nap under the fan. If you’re searching for an active, loving, adventurous companion who’s equal parts fun and affectionate, I might just be your perfect match. 🌟 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Pacaya lead you into your next great adventure! 🐾💛

Story
Sweet Pea is about 8 months old and is a very sweet little girl looking for her forever home. The couple that brought her in said they found her by the hotel where they were staying. She was so very sweet they didn't want anything to happen to her, so they turned her in. She loves her little bed. She has been fully vetted and is up to date on all shots, spayed and microchipped. She is all set to go home to her new family. If you are interested in adopting Sweet Pea, please click on the big black button that says, "Ask about me" and we will send you an application. Story
"Hi there! I’m Rasmus – and I’m ready to meet my forever family! I am 1 year old, a Feist (type of terrier) mix, around 30 pounds, full of energy, and your classic playful puppy! Life is all about fun for me—chasing toys, playing tug-of-war, and zooming around the yard with my doggy friends. I'm currently living with my foster mom, dad and their 3-year-old boy who I adore! We play together all the time—he throws the ball, I fetch it (most of the time), and we both giggle (well, he giggles, I wag). I’d absolutely love a home where I can have both two-legged and four-legged buddies to play with. Kids? Yes please! Other dogs? Even better! I'm a social pup who thrives on companionship, fun, and belly rubs. I’ve got lots of love to give, a tail that never stops wagging, and a heart full of puppy joy. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, loving pup to grow up with your family, I just might be your perfect match. Love, Ras" Ras is a Louisiana rescue pup looking for a new life up North. Ras is crate trained and doing well with house training and leash walking. His photos just don't capture his sweetness. Please check out his videos to see Ras in action being adorable. Ras' photo album with the sweetest videos of him with a toddler: https://photos.app.goo.gl/cWTeKsvq4MyLFn8b7 Ras is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, 4DX negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases, and current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention and deworming. All this sweet little boy needs is a home! PAWS of NE LA was formed in 2003. We are a small foster-based rescue and have been sending our special Southern pets to fabulous Northern homes since 2010. We work with a wonderful transport who has stops in many Northeastern / New England states: VT, CT, NY, NJ, PA, etc.

Story
Addie, The Petite and Agile. She's ready to hop on the doggie transport bus and take her freedom ride to her forever home!!! We use a a super reliable transport company. Addison "Addie" spent over a year in a scary shelter, overlooked because she was too terrified to show her true self, just cowered in the back of her kennel, frozen on her bed. The staff of the shelter identified her as one of their residents who desperately needed to be OUT of the shelter have a chance at a future. So she came to me. The first few days were heartbreaking - she trembled at the end of a leash, her tail stayed tucked - always, avoided eye contact. But then one day, it happened, that little tail tip wagged, ever so slightly, still tucked, but it was a major step. After that the growth came faster day by day. And with the help of her foster brother, Joe, she is blossoming into a "real dog!" Addie is surely a mixed breed, but appears may some Feist in her blood. She is athletic, beautiful, sleek, LOVES to chase balls and is incredibly fast. Once the playing is done, she heads straight for her "special spot" on the sofa to snuggle up and relax. Addie is still getting over her fear, making progress daily. When her guard is down she coyly asks for pets, play fetch and loves to snuggle on her soft bed and blanket with the family. She is very food-motivated, which is making her training a breeze! She is currently working hard on her leash walking skills and potty training, gaining confidence every day. She loves her foster brother, Little Joe, and we believe she would do best in a home with another dog. She appears to be 2-3 years old, she is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations and prevention, and heartworm negative. Addie needs a patient family willing to work with her, to continue showing her that the world is a safe place. If you have a tennis ball and a cozy spot on your sofa, Addie might be your perfect match! A Note on her Breed: We’ve consulted a few breed identification programs, which suggested a mix of Feist, Rat Terrier, and Staffordshire Terrier. However, since these IDs can be a bit of a guessing game, we can't say for certain. What we do know is that she is a 100% good girl. ***********IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION************* Addie is located in South Mississippi, with transport available (for an additional fee) to approved adopters in several Northeast towns where she is posted . Virtual meet-and-greets are performed prior to adoption. Completing an application is the only way to receive a response from our small rescue team. Submitting an application does NOT commit you to adoption—it simply begins the conversation about whether this dog is the right fit for your family. _______________________________________________________________________ Apply here: www.animalaidms.org/adopt _______________________________________________________________________ If your application is approved and you are a great match, we will follow up with a phone call. We may also reach out about other dogs in our care who could be a wonderful fit for your family. _______________________________________________________________________

Story
Rocket Man is a dog with a strong personality. He is short and stocky, making him stand out among other dogs. Rocket Man enjoys being in control and likes to be the boss of the pack. He craves attention and loves being around people, always seeking out affection and playtime. However, his assertiveness can sometimes lead to him bullying less dominant or submissive dogs. Despite this behavior, Rocket Man's loving nature and need for human companionship make him an ideal companion for an active and experienced dog owner. He enjoys running around with other dogs at the dog park. With proper training and socialization, Rocket Man can become a loyal and loving pet who will always be by his owner's side. Story
OTHER PETS: Cookie has been wonderful with the other dogs he's met. He's been both friendly and respectful, even when another dog doesn't seem interested in him. While excited to meet other dogs, he seems to match energy well and knows how to take a hint when he might be showing a little too much energy. [Likely (Must Meet First)]OWNER EXPERIENCE: While Cookie does warm up quickly, he is still timid and unsure with people he's not familiar with. When meeting new people, he should be allowed to approach on his own time, but also wouldn't say no to a few offered treats! He takes treats very gently from people, though he has shown a tendency to resource guard high-value things like bones and his food. [Some Experience]KIDS: Because of Cookie's resource guarding, his best match would be a home without kids. While his guarding can be managed easily by simply leaving him alone while he eats or enjoys a bone, young kids may be too unpredictable for him to feel comfortable. [Adults Only]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Cookie hasn't shown much interest in play, but once he's comfortable he'll climb right into your lap and settle down for a nap. He may be a lap dog, but he definitely savors his time outside, especially on a clear spring day! And once he's fully settled into his new home, he may even gain a new interest in playing or toys. [Couch Potato / Good Walking Buddy]VETERINARY CARE: Cookie arrived at TJO with what is called a `cherry eye` in both eyes. While not an immediate concern at this time, an established relationship with a vet will be important to monitor any changes and keep up with any future care he may need. [Above Average]LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Cookie is still at the beginning of his training journey, and will do best learning with someone who can offer both patience and confidence while he adjusts. Positive reinforcement training will help Cookie not only learn his basic cues, but also help him to feel more comfortable and confident in himself! It will provide a good opportunity for him to bond with his new owner as well. [Minimal]GROOMING: Routine brushing will help to minimize shedding in the home. [Minimal]May 24, 2026, 4:24 pm

Story
Crouton is a dog who is timid around humans but fearless when it comes to following his senses! As a nervous pup, he is a clever boy will dig under fences if left unsupervised and spends his indoor time searching for exits to the outdoors when he is not napping or warming human laps. Crouton is looking for a quiet home that will be able to keep him safe, build trust, and provide ample time for lap naps.OTHER PETS: Crouton greeted other dogs appropriately, disengaged and continued looking for ways outside. He may warm to another dog in time but he is perfectly happy as a solo pup hanging out with his humans. Crouton should meet any dogs he would be living with prior to adoption. [Disinterested in Other Dogs]OWNER EXPERIENCE: Someone who has experience with positive reinforcement or willingness to learn, and keeping escape artist dogs safe while allowing Crouton to set the pace of interactions would be Crouton's ideal fit. [Some Experience] KIDS: Crouton enjoys calm quiet time with humans he trusts. He warms quickly to people who let him set the pace of their interactions. We want to set Crouton up for success, so his human family members should be old enough to understand and learn how to interact with him safely. Children and dogs should always be actively supervised when spending time together for everyone's safety. [13+ / Dog Savvy (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Crouton enjoys exploring outside; he is very curious and walks well on leash but WILL dig under fences if left unsupervised. Crouton would likely do well with regular neighborhood walks, potentially longer ones as long as care is taken to ensure he does not overexhert himself. A combination of mental enrichment, such as puzzle toys and scent games, and regular exercise, are the best ways to meet his needs. Play may not happen right away but can be developed as he decompresses. [Couch Potato / Good Walking Buddy] VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] GROOMING: [Minimal] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Crouton bond with his new owner while learning new skills, fun tricks, and learn the enjoyment of playtime.
