Story
Sweet Pea is about 8 months old and is a very sweet little girl looking for her forever home. The couple that brought her in said they found her by the hotel where they were staying. She was so very sweet they didn't want anything to happen to her, so they turned her in. She loves her little bed. She has been fully vetted and is up to date on all shots, spayed and microchipped. She is all set to go home to her new family. If you are interested in adopting Sweet Pea, please click on the big black button that says, "Ask about me" and we will send you an application. Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org 🌋🐾 Meet Pacaya — Adventure Enthusiast, Water Lover & Certified Good Girl 🐾🌋 Hi! I’m Pacaya, an athletic, happy, and downright charismatic girl with a heart full of joy and paws made for exploring. I’m friendly, engaging and I has got a gorgeous coat that goes from a warm tan to a rich red when the sun hits me just right. I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. I thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting out and doing things — I make an excellent hiking buddy, jogging partner, or “let’s-see-what’s-over-there” companion. But don’t let my athletic side fool you — once the adventure is done, I’m all about the wind-down life. Belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging with my people and giving the best hugs are absolute perfection. I’m not wild or frantic — just a well-balanced girl who knows when to go full throttle and when to relax like a pro. 🐾 Pacaya at a Glance: ✔️ ~2 years old, ~40 lbs of happy athletic energy ✔️ Friendly, confident, and full of personality ✔️ Loves hiking, swimming, and climbing ✔️ Great with other dogs ✔️ House trained and well-mannered ✔️ Smart, attentive, and eager to engage with her people A quick note from management: while I adore dogs and humans, cats and chickens are not on my guest list. (Nothing personal — just best to admire them from afar.) I bring joy into every space I enter, communicate with my bright eyes and expressive personality, and truly enjoy being part of a family. I pay attention, listen well, and love being involved in whatever my humans are doing — especially if it ends with a nap under the fan. If you’re searching for an active, loving, adventurous companion who’s equal parts fun and affectionate, I might just be your perfect match. 🌟 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Pacaya lead you into your next great adventure! 🐾💛

Story
"Hi there! I’m Rasmus – and I’m ready to meet my forever family! I am 1 year old, a Feist (type of terrier) mix, around 30 pounds, full of energy, and your classic playful puppy! Life is all about fun for me—chasing toys, playing tug-of-war, and zooming around the yard with my doggy friends. I'm currently living with my foster mom, dad and their 3-year-old boy who I adore! We play together all the time—he throws the ball, I fetch it (most of the time), and we both giggle (well, he giggles, I wag). I’d absolutely love a home where I can have both two-legged and four-legged buddies to play with. Kids? Yes please! Other dogs? Even better! I'm a social pup who thrives on companionship, fun, and belly rubs. I’ve got lots of love to give, a tail that never stops wagging, and a heart full of puppy joy. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, loving pup to grow up with your family, I just might be your perfect match. Love, Ras" Ras is a Louisiana rescue pup looking for a new life up North. Ras is crate trained and doing well with house training and leash walking. His photos just don't capture his sweetness. Please check out his videos to see Ras in action being adorable. Ras' photo album with the sweetest videos of him with a toddler: https://photos.app.goo.gl/cWTeKsvq4MyLFn8b7 Ras is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, 4DX negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases, and current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention and deworming. All this sweet little boy needs is a home! PAWS of NE LA was formed in 2003. We are a small foster-based rescue and have been sending our special Southern pets to fabulous Northern homes since 2010. We work with a wonderful transport who has stops in many Northeastern / New England states: VT, CT, NY, NJ, PA, etc.

Story
Rocket Man is a dog with a strong personality. He is short and stocky, making him stand out among other dogs. Rocket Man enjoys being in control and likes to be the boss of the pack. He craves attention and loves being around people, always seeking out affection and playtime. However, his assertiveness can sometimes lead to him bullying less dominant or submissive dogs. Despite this behavior, Rocket Man's loving nature and need for human companionship make him an ideal companion for an active and experienced dog owner. He enjoys running around with other dogs at the dog park. With proper training and socialization, Rocket Man can become a loyal and loving pet who will always be by his owner's side. Story
Meet Willie, an adult (approx. 8 years old) neutered male Chihuahua mix, weighing about 12 lbs!  Willie arrived in CT on 5/30. We are accepting applications on him now! Willie can do a 1 week foster to adopt trial with an approved adopter so you can see how he settles in before committing to adoption. His foster said, "Willie is pretty spry for his age, he loves to run and play with other dogs! He's the sweetest Chihuahua I've ever met. Already opening up and being affectionate after only a few hours." Willie is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special pup today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2739529##

Story
Meet Linden, a handsome ~2-3 year old chihuahua/small terrier mix, weighing about 15 lbs! Linden was rescued from a hoarding/neglect case in Kentucky along with the other Tree pups (Magnolia, Pine, Sycamore, etc.). He is currently being fostered in CT and is ready to find his furever home!  Linden is a shy/nevous boy who takes some time to trust and warm up to new people. He wants so badly to connect with people, but he is scared and unsure. Once he knows you are safe, he is very sweet! He is looking for someone who will be patient with him and give him a little time and space to come to them on his own terms. Linden is good with other dogs, cats (he ignores them), people, and older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space (due to his nervous/timid nature). From Linden's current foster:  "Linden is making great progress! Although he remains a bit shy, he has shown remarkable improvement and is such a sweet pup. We’ve started teaching him some basic commands, focusing on "come" and "sit." He understands "come," but we're still working on "sit." He’s fantastic on the leash, enjoys his walks and recently enjoyed trips to Petco and Home Depot, he was a bit scared at first but did great. He definitely likes the company of another small/medium dog." He is medically up to date, housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while acclimating to a new environment/routine), and crate trained. Apply to meet this special boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable.
