Story
Laika is a 6.5 years old Lab and a Terrier mix weighing about 38 lbs. We adopted her more than 4 years ago from NorthEast Animal Shelter. She is a medium energy dog and very goofy! She loves squeaky toys and destroys them in minutes. She loves humans and greets everyone and asks for pets, she is however reactive to other dogs and has to be the only pet at home. We give her Farmer's dog fresh food everyday and would be ideal if she can get the same in her new home. She does get on the living room furniture and sleeps on her blankets. In the nights she sleeps in her crate. She doesn't like her nails trimmed or being given injections so we have to give her medication before we take her to vet. She is in general very lovely dog, loves to sleep next to you and will follow you everywhere. We realized our baby has dog allergies and are forced to re-home her.

Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Rusty! Rusty is approximately 5 months old, 25 lbs currently and he is an adorable mixed breed dog! In his foster home, he is doing great with his house training, crate training but has no experience with leash walking. He could go to a home with dog-savvy kids, cats and other dogs. His foster says, `Rusty is going to fit into any house dynamic situation he is put into. He is still a puppy and requires being watched and is learning what is and is not ok to chew on. Rusty would love a house with other playful dogs, kids, and humans that want to go places do things. Would make a fantastic hiking/jogging buddy. He is SUPER smart. Eager to learn. Knows to sit before even being told. Learning down and shake. Takes his good boy treats gently. All your fingers stay in tact! Very inquisitive, and wants to know what everyone is doing and if he can help. Careful, he likes helping with the laundry including getting it out of the dryer! (take note of that) He really does not get up on the furniture, or the bed. Sleeps on the floor/dog beds/blankies. He has not had one accident in the house since I have had him! He does out on a regular basis with the other dogs and any other time offered to go out. Rusty LOVES to just curl up at your feet. Even if youre cooking or doing dishes. If you hold still too long you will have a good little foot warmer suddenly passed out at your feet If you have cats, that is ok too. He pretty much ignores mine. Grumpy seniors?? Those are ok too. He takes their attitudes like a champ.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on December 5th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Pee Wee is a total sweetheart! He loves being around people, especially his housemates. He greets everyone with the same generous affection and is very comfortable meeting new people. He is a small Chi/Mountain Feist mix weighing in at 21lbs. He loves to play, and dance on his hind legs! He’s good with other dogs, especially younger dogs with lots of energy like him! He will definitely need another pup in the home. He loves to cuddle with his person or sleep under a blanket. At bedtime he wants to be in the BIG BED with his people, not in a crate or a pen. Pee Wee enjoys chewing on dog friendly appropriate chews, playing fetch and sleeping on your lap. Pee Wee is housebroken & crate trained. One HUGE plus for Pee Wee is he is SUPER smart and follows instructions like a little person! Does Pee Wee sound like he may be the right new family member for you? Please apply for him below. Pee Wee is current on his vaccinations and is neutered. If you are interested in adopting Pee Wee please apply on our website www.coaldr.org. Story
IDGSR Welcomes KEVIN into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Well howdy, folks! Name’s Kevin, and I reckon I might just be the smallest German Shepherd this side of Nashville, Tennessee… trapped in a Chihuahua/Terrier body. Don’t let my size fool ya—what I lack in height, I make up for in heart, grit, and a whole lotta personality. Quick Facts: Age - 7-months old Kids - will do fine with kids Dogs - great with other dogs Cats - probably no cats 1. At 7 months old, I’m still a young buck, full of curiosity and charm. 2. I’ve got a funny little bob-tail that wiggles faster than a tumbleweed in a windstorm, and a coat that looks straight outta the German Shepherd handbook. I’m startin’ to think I might be an undercover deputy from the Shepherd ranks—just disguised in a compact package! 3. I get along mighty fine with other dogs, and I’d fit right in whether you’re livin’ in a ranch, apartment, condo, or townhome—I’m not picky about my corral. 4. I’m still workin’ on house and crate trainin’, but I’m a quick learner if you’ve got some patience and a few treats up your sleeve. 5. I’ll need a good ol’ dose of obedience trainin’, but partner, once I learn the ropes, I’ll be your most loyal sidekick on every adventure. 6. So what do you say, cowboy (or cowgirl)? Saddle up and adopt me —the tiny sheriff with the Shepherd soul! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt?
