Story
Current location: Chester, VA Hi, I'm Jean! Let me start by saying that first impressions aren't exactly my strong suit. I'm a little like that person who seems awkward at a party but turns out to be the funniest, most lovable one in the room once you get to know them. When I meet new people, I can be a little shy, and when I meet new dogs, I sometimes get a bit snappy. I know, I know. Not exactly the best way to make friends! But here's the thing: give me a day to settle in, and I'll be everyone's new bestie. Seriously. Once I realize we're friends, we're FRIENDS. Underneath my slightly awkward introduction is an incredibly loving, cuddly, playful girl with a whole lot of personality. I absolutely adore affection and snuggling up with my favorite humans. But don't let my cuddly side fool you. I've also got plenty of energy and a flair for the dramatic! One of my favorite hobbies is getting the zoomies and turning the living room into my own personal parkour course. Furniture? Obstacles. Corners? Launch pads. The entire living room? My playground. I like to think of myself as a tiny stunt double, and I take my performances very seriously. I'm looking for someone who understands that the best friendships aren't always instant. Sometimes a girl just needs a little time to feel comfortable enough to show her true colors. And trust me, once you get past my awkward introduction, you'll discover a sweet, silly, affectionate best friend who will keep you laughing and shower you with love. So what do you say? Give me a chance to make a second impression. I promise it's a whole lot better than my first! Love, Jean

Story
This little sweetheart was VERY HEAVILY pregnant when she was surrendered to the pound and she delivered five puppies within a few days of her rescue. She was a great mom and once she weaned her pups she tested positive for heartworms. This sweet girl raised her puppies…just completed her heartworm treatment and has been given a clean bill of health…now she’s ready for a great new life of her own! Sundi is a good girl, she’s sweet, good natured, happy, playful and lots of fun! Check out her sweet soulful eyes and those darling little ears that fold down…isn’t she a doll? I know she would thoroughly enjoy having her own family that will love her and include her in their everyday comings and goings. She gets along great with the other dogs, she does fine around the barn cats and she’s fine with people (adults and kids). Still being a youngster herself, she still has a lot of play in her and really enjoys playing the other dogs in the play yard. Sundi is 19 months old (dob 2/20/25) and weighs about 35 pounds at the time of this posting (9/22/26). She has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Sundi is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area most weeks and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

Story
Elsa (Female) **Applicant Requirements:** -Be at least 21 years of age and the Homeowner or Rentee. -Households with children under 8 years of age, must have a physical fence attached to the home or an electric/invisible fence. However, there are other instances when a fence may be required for the safety of the dog or puppy Description of the Pet Name: Elsa Age: 3 years DOB: 10/14/22 Weight: 15 lbs. Crate-trained: Yes PLEASE NOTE: To apply to adopt, the application and adoption process can be found on our website greenmorerescue.org. Please read dog's bio carefully before applying. Meet Elsa Born on October 14, 2022, Elsa is a sweet, medium-energy girl who has so much love to give. When she first arrived, she was a little timid, but it did not take long for her true personality to shine. Once she feels comfortable, her adorable little nub tail wags so fast that it is impossible not to smile. Elsa walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys getting out for leisurely walks and spending time with her people. She does not need a fenced yard, making her a great fit for many different homes. Elsa seems to prefer the company of calmer, more laid-back dogs and would likely be happiest with a canine companion who shares her easygoing style. She would also do best with calm, respectful children who understand that she appreciates a gentle approach. If you are looking for a loving companion with a sweet personality and the cutest wagging nub tail around, Elsa is ready to find her forever home. Adoption donation is $425 cash, $450 credit, debit or Venmo. This donation includes a microchip. Another great reason to adopt form Greenmore.... Greenmore Rescue preforms the 4dx blood test on ALL of our adult dogs FREE OF CHARGE to adopters! This blood test checks for diseases such as Lyme and Heartworm Disease that are transmitted to dogs from a tick or mosquito bite. If the dog you are interested in tests positive for any of these conditions, treatment will already have been started or completed. Your Adoption Counselor will review any findings with you and we will provide all medical records, along with any medication the dog may need at the time of adoption. ***A NOTE ON BREEDS: The dog's listed breed(s) is the best assessment made by a veterinarian, pet finder or rescue staff and is not guaranteed. Story
If you’re looking for a dog who believes personal space is highly overrated, Pierre may be your guy. This sweet boy is 100% a Velcro dog. He enjoys playing and exploring, but he also likes to keep tabs on his person and know exactly where you are. And when playtime is over? Pierre is a fantastic cuddle buddy who is more than happy to settle in close. Pierre has a sweet, gentle way of asking for attention, too. He isn’t a loud or demanding guy—he’ll just give you a little “you know you want to pick me up” whimper when he thinks it’s time for some love. And chances are, he’s right. He is crate trained with a little treat encouragement and is doing really well with house training. He’s also been sweet and respectful around the other dogs he’s met, happily fitting in without needing to be the center of everything. And then there are those ears. We’d like to tell you Pierre will eventually grow into them, but we’re beginning to have our doubts. Somehow, they seem to get bigger every day—and they only add to the ridiculous amount of charm packed into this affectionate little guy. Pierre is playful, loving, cuddly and happiest when he can be close to his people. If you’ve been looking for a little shadow with enormous ears and an equally enormous capacity for affection, Pierre might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. Pierre is fostered in Gilbertsville (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania and will be able to head home with a family on or after 10/10/2026. www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Pierre’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2849617&name=Pierre #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #adoptme Mostly Muttz Rescue, PO Box 406, Gilbertsville, PA 19525PA Kennel License 10872 ##2849617##

Please contact Denise at 610-656-1291 (Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 610-656-1291 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. October 13, 2026, 5:33 pm
