I’m Pacaya, an athletic, happy, and downright charismatic girl with a heart full of joy and paws made for exploring. I’m friendly, engaging and I has got a gorgeous coat that goes from a warm tan to a rich red when the sun hits me just right. I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. I thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting out and doing things — I make an excellent hiking buddy, jogging partner, or “let’s-see-what’s-over-there” companion. But don’t let my athletic side fool you — once the adventure is done, I’m all about the wind-down life. Belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging with my people and giving the best hugs are absolute perfection. They do not have to be adopted together. These babies were pulled from a kill facility who reached out to us. Hattie and Hailey are super sweet, very talkative and very snuggly. The girls love toys, other dogs, running around and fun. They are tiny right now, Mom was said to be a lab mix but we did not see her. They love attention and would be a great companion. They probably would not be a good match with young children. We are taking applications on them now but they cannot leave until they are spayed on March 5th. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾💛 Meet Gordo — 8 Pounds of Love, Loyalty, and Lap-Warming Perfection 💛🐾 Gordo has been waiting… and waiting… and we honestly don’t understand how this little guy is still looking for his forever home. At just 3 years old and 8 pounds, Gordo is living proof that the very best things come in the tiniest, snuggliest packages. This sweet Chihuahua mix is equal parts lap warmer, cuddle champion, and loyal sidekick. He adores being close to his person and will happily follow you from room to room like a tiny, devoted shadow. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who truly wants to be with you — not just near you — Gordo is your guy. He does have a soft spot for the ladies (Gentlemen, don’t worry—he’ll accept you too, but he’s a mama’s boy at heart!) and would thrive in a calm, quiet home. He’d also be thrilled to have a small doggie friend to sunbathe with and share naps. Kids aren’t really his vibe, but cozy couches and peaceful routines? Absolutely. 💊 A little extra love note about Gordo: Gordo is considered special needs due to occasional seizures, which are well managed with daily medication (Levetiracetam and Phenobarbital - about $50 every two months). He takes his meds like a champ and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. He’ll also need Midazolam on hand, just in case he does have a seizure — though thankfully, his meds are working very well and he rarely has one. Now for the fun stuff… 🐶 Gordo’s Favorite Things: • Being used as a living neck pillow • Sunbathing like a tiny beach bum • Napping with doggie friends • Shamelessly begging for watermelon 🍉 • Sitting in your lap… always • Staring down the vacuum like a brave little warrior He’s house trained, crate trained, and happily trots into his crate at mealtime like the good boy he is. Gordo is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly loving — the kind of dog who bonds deeply and gives his whole heart once he feels safe. This little guy has been through a lot in his short life, but he hasn’t let it dim his sweetness or his desire to love. Her mama was a Chihuahua, dad remains a mysterious gentleman caller, and we suspect there might be a dash of low-rider goodness mixed in. Whatever the recipe, she turned out absolutely DELICIOUS. This little lady is expected grow to be around 20 lbs — the ideal size for tagging along on coffee runs, road trips, and basically every adventure you’re willing to take her on. Portable, adorable, and ready to go! Sushi is your classic happy-go-lucky puppy who wakes up every day choosing joy…and chaos. She comes fully equipped with: • Professional-grade zoomies • Olympic-level butt wiggles • Expert face-kisser certification • Advanced toy squeaker skills • Random bursts of silliness followed by immediate puppy naps At her young age she’ll do great with other dogs, kiddos, and even cats if introduced properly. She hasn’t met a human she doesn’t love and thinks the whole world is just one big playground made especially for her.
