Meet Tristan Smart, Energetic, and Eager to Please—Tristan Is Ready for a Forever Family ❤️ Breed: Feist / Terrier Mix Gender: Male | Age: 08/19/2024 | Weight/Size: 20 lbs (Small-Medium) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | People ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: ❤️ Friendly | ⚡ High Energy | Smart | Responsive & Eager to Learn Training: ✔️ Knows Commands | ✔️ Good On Leash | ✔️ Good Off Leash in Appropriate, Secure Settings Medical: ⏳ Neuter Pending | ✔️ DHPP Vaccinated | ✔️ Dewormed | ❌ Not Microchipped Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Tristan's Story Tristan is a smart, friendly, energetic young dog who loves people, enjoys other dogs, and already has an impressive foundation of training. At two years old, Tristan has plenty of energy and enthusiasm for life. He's the kind of dog who will happily join you for a long walk, outdoor adventure, training session, or an afternoon of play. He needs regular activity, but what makes Tristan special is that his energy comes with a dog who listens well and responds to commands. Tristan has experience both on and off leash and does well following direction. His future family should continue reinforcing these skills and always use appropriate safety precautions, particularly in new or unsecured environments. His intelligence makes him a great candidate for continued obedience training and activities that challenge him mentally as well as physically. He's also a very social boy. Tristan is friendly with people and other dogs, making him a wonderful candidate for a family looking for an outgoing companion. He enjoys interaction and would love a home where he can be included in everyday activities rather than spending most of his time alone. As a Feist / Terrier Mix, Tristan comes from energetic and intelligent breed types. Feists were traditionally bred as active working dogs and are often alert, athletic, curious, and devoted to their people. Terriers share many of those same qualities, including intelligence, confidence, and determination. For Tristan, that means a bored life probably isn't the right life. He'll be happiest with people who enjoy staying active and giving him opportunities to use his brain. Tristan would thrive in a home that provides: Daily walks and regular physical exercise Outdoor adventures and active play Continued obedience training Positive reinforcement and consistent commands Interactive toys, puzzles, and mental enrichment Opportunities to socialize with friendly dogs Plenty of companionship and affection Consistent household routines and boundaries A safe indoor home where he's included as part of the family A lifelong commitment Tristan already has so many of the qualities people hope to find in a dog—friendly, intelligent, social, trainable, and eager to participate in life. Now he just needs someone to share that life with. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Tristan already has a good training foundation and responds well to commands, but training should continue after adoption. Moving into a new home means learning new people, boundaries, routines, and expectations. Even dogs with excellent training may need reminders while adjusting to a different environment. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand his new household routine 3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home Because Tristan is high energy, daily physical exercise will be important. However, exercise alone isn't enough for a smart dog. Training games, scent work, puzzle toys, exploring new places, and learning new commands can help keep his mind busy as well. Although Tristan has demonstrated good off-leash skills, his adopter should not assume that recall will immediately transfer to a new person or environment. A secure leash or fenced area should be used while trust and reliable recall are established with his new family. Positive reinforcement and consistency will help Tristan continue building on the great foundation he already has. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Tristan has received his DHPP vaccination and has been dewormed. His neuter is currently pending, and he is not yet microchipped. His future family should continue providing: Neutering as scheduled Microchipping and registration Routine veterinary wellness examinations Any additional vaccinations or boosters recommended by his veterinarian Rabies vaccination if not already completed Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental care A nutritious, balanced diet Healthy weight management Daily physical exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued positive reinforcement training Veterinary care whenever illness or injury occurs A safe, comfortable indoor home At only two years old, Tristan has many active years ahead of him. Consistent veterinary care, exercise, good nutrition, and mental stimulation will help keep him healthy and happy throughout his life. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Tristan, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving deserving dogs the opportunity to find safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we proudly coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Tristan isn't looking for a quiet life on the sidelines. He's looking for someone who wants a smart, energetic companion beside them for walks, adventures, training, playtime, and everything in between. Give this friendly boy the activity, guidance, and love he thrives on, and Tristan is ready to give you his whole heart in return. ❤️August 27, 2026, 10:06 am

Meet Honey Sweet as Her Name—Honey Is a Loving, Playful Girl Ready for Her Forever Home ❤️ Breed: Feist / Terrier Mix Gender: Female | Age: 12/21/2025 | Weight/Size: 22 lbs (Medium) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats ✔️ | Kids ✔️ Personality: ❤️ Loving | Affectionate | Playful | ☀️ Happy | ⚡ Active Training: ✔️ House-Trained | ✔️ Crate-Trained | Comfortable Riding in the Car Medical: ✔️ Spayed | ✔️ Fully Vaccinated | ✔️ Healthy & Adoption-Ready | Microchip Status: Not Provided Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Honey's Story Honey truly lives up to her name. She's an incredibly loving and affectionate young girl with a happy personality and a playful spirit that makes her a joy to have around. At eight months old, Honey is still a young dog with plenty of puppy enthusiasm. She absolutely loves to play and has the energy to keep up with an active family. Walks, games, toys, exploring, and playtime with other dogs are all great ways for her to stay busy and happy. But Honey isn't all go, go, go. Underneath that playful energy is a very affectionate girl who loves connecting with her people. She enjoys attention and companionship and wants to be included as part of the family. Honey is also wonderfully social. She's great with other dogs and friendly with cats, giving her the potential to fit beautifully into a multi-pet household with appropriate introductions. And this smart girl already has some very useful skills! Honey is house-trained and crate-trained. She can relax calmly in her crate for several hours when needed, which can make the transition into a new household much easier. She's also comfortable riding in the car, making her a great candidate for a family that wants a dog who can come along for outings and adventures. As a Feist / Terrier Mix, Honey may share many of the qualities associated with these bright, active little working dogs. Feists and Terriers tend to be intelligent, curious, energetic, and devoted to their people. They enjoy having something to do and benefit from a combination of physical activity and mental stimulation. Honey would thrive with a family that provides: Plenty of affection and companionship Daily walks and regular exercise Lots of interactive play Continued positive reinforcement training Toys, puzzles, and mental enrichment Opportunities to socialize with friendly dogs A consistent household routine Continued reinforcement of her crate and house training Adventures and car rides A safe indoor home where she's included as part of the family A lifelong commitment Honey already has so many qualities families hope to find in a young dog—she's loving, social, playful, house-trained, crate-trained, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and comfortable in the car. Now she just needs somewhere permanent to call home. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Honey already has an excellent foundation. Being both house-trained and crate-trained at eight months old is a great start, but she's still young and will benefit from continued training as she moves through adolescence. Even previously house-trained dogs can have occasional accidents when adjusting to a completely new environment, so her adopter should give her time to learn the new household schedule. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand her new household routine 3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home Honey's energy will need healthy outlets. Daily walks, interactive games, training exercises, sniffing opportunities, puzzle toys, and appropriate play with other dogs can help keep her physically and mentally fulfilled. Her crate should continue to be treated as a safe, positive space, never as punishment. Although Honey can remain calmly crated for several hours, she is an active young dog who needs plenty of exercise, interaction, and companionship when her family is home. Positive reinforcement and consistency will help Honey build on the wonderful foundation she already has. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Honey is already spayed and fully vaccinated, giving her a great start toward a healthy adult life. Her future family should continue providing: Routine veterinary wellness examinations Vaccinations and boosters as recommended by her veterinarian Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental care A nutritious diet appropriate for her age and activity level Healthy weight management Daily physical exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued positive reinforcement training Continued safe socialization Veterinary care whenever illness or injury occurs A safe, comfortable indoor home At only eight months old, Honey still has some growing and maturing ahead of her. Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, regular exercise, and continued training will help her develop into a happy and healthy adult. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Honey, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving deserving dogs the opportunity to find safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we proudly coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Honey is sweet by name and sweet by nature. She's playful enough for adventures, affectionate enough for cuddle time, and already has an amazing foundation for family life. Whether she's playing with another dog, hanging out with a cat, hopping in the car for an adventure, or relaxing at home with her people, Honey is ready to be someone's very best friend. All she's missing is forever. ❤️August 27, 2026, 10:06 am

Meet Zeus ⚡ Once Lost on the Streets, Now Ready to Find the Family He's Always Deserved ❤️ Breed: Feist Terrier / Carolina Dog Mix Gender: Male | DOB: March 23, 2026 | Weight/Expected Size: 17 lbs (Expected Medium) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats ✔️ | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Neutered (Age-Appropriate) | ✔️ Current for Age Vaccinations | ✔️ Microchipped Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Zeus's Story Zeus's life began with uncertainty. As a young puppy, he was found wandering the streets completely alone, searching for food, water, and a safe place to rest. At such a young age, he should have been learning about toys, cuddles, and family—not how to survive on his own. Thankfully, compassionate rescuers found him before it was too late and gave him the second chance every puppy deserves. Since arriving at Ozzie and Friends Rescue, Zeus has blossomed into a happy, playful, and affectionate puppy. His difficult beginning hasn't taken away his joyful spirit. Instead, he greets every new day with excitement, a wagging tail, and endless curiosity about the world around him. Zeus loves making new friends and enjoys spending time with both people and other animals. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is cat friendly, and is gentle with children, making him an excellent candidate for many different types of families. Whether he's chasing toys around the yard, exploring outside, or curling up beside his favorite people after a day of play, Zeus simply enjoys being part of the family. As a Feist Terrier / Carolina Dog Mix, Zeus is expected to grow into an intelligent, athletic, and loyal companion. Feist Terriers are known for their eagerness to learn, playful personalities, and strong bonds with their families, while Carolina Dogs are admired for their adaptability, awareness, and devotion. Together, these breeds create a dog that thrives with regular exercise, positive training, and plenty of interaction with the people he loves. Zeus would thrive in a home that offers: Daily walks and outdoor adventures Interactive play and enrichment activities Positive reinforcement training Puzzle toys and games that challenge his mind Continued socialization with people and other animals Structure, routine, and consistency A lifetime of love, patience, and commitment Zeus has already overcome the hardest part of his journey. Now he's simply waiting for someone to show him what it truly means to belong to a family forever. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like all puppies, Zeus is still learning about the world around him. His new family should expect normal puppy behaviors, including chewing, teething, learning house manners, and discovering new experiences each day. Because Zeus is both intelligent and eager to please, he should excel with positive reinforcement training and consistent guidance. This is the perfect stage in his life to build confidence, teach good manners, and continue exposing him to new people, places, and experiences. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to learn your household routine 3 Months to fully settle into family life Zeus will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training House-training and consistent daily routines Daily exercise and supervised play Continued socialization with people, dogs, and cats Mental stimulation through puzzle toys and enrichment activities Plenty of patience, encouragement, and affection With time, guidance, and love, Zeus will grow into a confident, loyal, and wonderful lifelong companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Bringing home a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes love, training, exercise, and routine veterinary care. As part of responsible pet ownership, Zeus will need: Completion of his puppy vaccination schedule and routine wellness examinations Continued flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention A nutritious diet that supports healthy growth and development Daily physical exercise and mental enrichment Continued obedience training and socialization A safe, loving indoor home where he is treated as a member of the family Because Zeus is still growing, strenuous repetitive exercise and excessive jumping should be limited until his joints have fully developed. We recommend scheduling a wellness visit with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and ensure he continues to thrive. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Zeus, please complete an adoption application by visiting: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving homeless dogs a second chance at a loving home. Every application is carefully reviewed to help ensure the best possible match between each dog and their future family. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we proudly coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States, giving deserving dogs like Zeus the opportunity to find loving homes no matter where they live. Zeus has already been rescued. Now he's waiting for the best part of his story to begin—a forever home filled with love, adventure, and the family he's been dreaming of. ❤️August 27, 2026, 10:06 am

At his young age, Teddy is still discovering the world and developing his personality. He has a friendly, playful nature and enjoys spending time with people, getting attention, exploring, and simply being included in whatever is happening around him. Teddy is at a great stage of life for a family that wants a younger dog without starting with a tiny puppy. He still has youthful energy and curiosity, but he’s ready to continue learning the routines and skills that will help him become a wonderful adult companion. As a Terrier Mix, Teddy is likely to be intelligent, curious, energetic, and people-oriented. Terriers often have fun, confident personalities and enjoy having something to do. Teddy will benefit from daily walks, interactive play, training games, and plenty of opportunities to explore safely. At 15 pounds currently, Teddy is a smaller young dog, although he may still have some growing to do. His exact adult size cannot be guaranteed with a mixed-breed dog. Teddy would thrive with a family that provides: Plenty of love and companionship Daily walks and age-appropriate exercise Interactive toys and playtime Positive reinforcement training Continued socialization Consistent household routines Mental enrichment and training games Plenty of opportunities to participate in family life A safe indoor home where he is treated as part of the family A lifelong commitment Teddy doesn't need anything complicated. He simply needs someone ready to make him part of their life and give him the stability, guidance, and affection every young dog deserves. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Teddy is still a young dog, so his adopter should be prepared to continue working on household manners, house-training if needed, leash skills, basic commands, and appropriate socialization. Positive reinforcement will help Teddy understand what is expected of him while strengthening the bond he develops with his new family. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to start understanding his new household routine 3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home Even confident, friendly dogs can behave differently during the first few weeks after adoption. Teddy should be given time to adjust without being overwhelmed with too many new experiences at once. Short training sessions, walks, interactive toys, sniffing games, and playtime can provide healthy outlets for his Terrier energy and curiosity. With patience, consistency, and plenty of encouragement, Teddy has all the potential to grow into a confident and well-mannered companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Teddy is healthy, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. His neuter is currently pending. His future family should continue providing: Neutering when scheduled/age-appropriate Routine veterinary wellness examinations Vaccines and boosters as recommended by his veterinarian Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental care A nutritious diet appropriate for his age and size Healthy weight management Daily physical exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued positive reinforcement training Veterinary care whenever illness or injury occurs A safe, comfortable indoor home Responsible veterinary care, proper nutrition, regular exercise, and continued training will help Teddy enjoy a long and healthy life with his future family. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Teddy, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving deserving dogs the opportunity to find safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we proudly coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Teddy is young, sweet, playful, and ready for the most important part of his story—the family he gets to call his own. Give him the love and guidance he needs now, and you may just end up with a devoted best friend for years to come. ❤️August 27, 2026, 10:06 am

Story
Meet Olive! Formerly known as Socks at Harris County Pets, but when these babies join us we love giving them a fresh start with a brand new name. Olive is estimated to be around 2 years old and honestly looks like the cutest little mix of everything! She's about 50lbs. If you’re looking for a calm, easygoing, loving companion… Olive is your girl. This sweet girl has the gentlest soul and truly just wants to be close to her people. She was found as a stray, so we may never know her full story, but one thing is obvious… Olive knows love. She isn’t skinny, her coat is beautiful, and she melts right into you when getting attention. Olive is dog friendly, though she seems more like the “hang out and relax” type than the life of the party. She may still just be learning that she’s finally safe. Either way, this sweet girl is ready for a soft place to land and someone to love her forever. If you’ve been searching for a mellow, affectionate, sweetheart of a dog, Olive is waiting for you!
