Story
Hi there! I’m a single dog dad to two amazing pups—Eli and Ellie—bonded siblings I adopted in NE Tennessee when I was 21. For over seven years, they’ve been my constant companions and best friends. We’ve road-tripped together, taken countless vacations, and explored the entire East Coast side by side. Over the last few years, my career has shifted dramatically, and my travel schedule has grown to 3–4 weeks each month (160 days in ’23, 166 in ’24, and nearly 200 in ’25). As much as I adore them, this lifestyle is no longer fair to them. They deserve more stability, consistency, and everyday attention than I can give while away so often. I’m looking for a truly loving home that can keep them together—they are a deeply bonded pair and thrive as a team. They’re wonderful with kids, friendly with other pets, and come with automatic feeders, a water fountain, a BarkBox for the yard, and a doggy door if needed. We currently live in Houston (Magnolia), Texas.

These pups are in Katy, Texas too!

Story
Est. DOB: 09/20/24 Current Weight: 12lbs   Meet Meo!!  This little Chi/Terrier Mix pup is 12lbs of pure puppy charm!! Meo is playful, people-loving and full of curious energy. He is currently living in a foster home with other small dogs and does well with all of them. His favorites are the ones who love to play. His ideal forever home would be one with school aged children and another young, playful dog to match his energy. Meo is still a pup and will need continued training, he is super smart and a fast learner, and those unique leg spots - he's one of a kind!!  Meo is kennel trained (although he may cry a little at first in a new home - he's still a baby) and doing great on a leash. He is also potty trained (please expect an adjustment period in his new home)   Please consider making this cute little guy a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at   https://almosthomepetrescue.org/apply-now-1     $200 adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (Meo is negative), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed, age, and size categorizations are estimates.    If transporting out of state to available locations, the total adoption cost will be $500. This amount is inclusive of adoption fee, transport fee, health certificate, and taxes. June 5, 2025, 1:53 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.HW NegPalmer was sadly dumped and abandoned in a fellow rescue volunteer's driveway at the tender age of 2 months, he was just a puppy. Palmer is now fully grown, and he is not going to be a big floof (est. 45 lbs max).  Palmer is packing plenty of personality into that petite action packed playfully fun frame of his, and although he's not a Pyrenees, he's got the HEART of a Pyrenees!  According to the Wisdom Panel DNA results, Palmer is a fun-sized Hines 57 mix, all rolled up into one tiny adorable petite package!  Adopt Palmer! Story
This is lamia, a nearly 1 year old, ~10lb terrier mix we adopted from a county shelter last year. unfortunately our circumstances have changed and it would be in her best interest to rehome or have someone long-term foster. Lamia is a very playful and motivated dog who loves people but has some trouble warming up. She is affectionate with people she trusts but is firm about her boundaries, she does not like being touched by strangers. She does enjoy interacting with dogs and had no issues living with our dogs or cat, however because of how she is with boundaries, I would not recommend having her live with young children. Lamia also has many quirky parts of her and has always made us laugh with her silly antics and expressions. She is medium energy, has been crate trained, potty trained and walks well on leash. Lamia would do best in a home with someone who has the time and is willing to be patient. as well as a home without small animals/rodents as she will chase.
