Some dogs choose their person. And Grant? Well, Grant has a definite soft spot for the gentlemen. He adores his foster mom, but let a kind man with a gentle voice, a soft hand, and (bonus points!) no ball cap come along, and you just might witness the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Once Grant decides you're his guy, prepare to be adored.Grant is a 3½-year-old Chihuahua/Feist mix weighing just 19 pounds, and his story is one of those reminders of just how resilient and forgiving dogs can be. He came from a home with 15 dogs, none altered, living in very poor conditions. Animal Control stepped in, and Critter Cavalry Rescue was called to help some of the little dogs find safety and a chance at a better life. Grant was one of those lucky souls. And look at him now!Over the past several months, Grant has blossomed in ways that make his foster family so proud. He enjoys going for walks, riding in the car, and even attending Puppy Yoga classes at the YMCA. He quietly joins the fun, welcomes gentle attention, and has made new human and canine friends along the way. He gets along with other dogs and usually has a special buddy in his foster home.Grant also has a few adorable little quirks that make him all the more lovable. He is a world-class blanket snuggler and loves finding the coziest place to curl up. But don't be surprised to find him perched on a sofa, chair, bed, or even somewhere a little unexpected! Grant believes the best view in the house is from somewhere above floor level.What Grant really dreams of, though, is a special man of his own. A retired or younger senior gentleman might be a wonderful match, but age isn't nearly as important as having a kind heart and the desire for a loyal little companion. And ladies, don't worry! A wife or girlfriend is absolutely welcome. Grant is simply hoping his favorite guy will be there to share his heart and his days.There is something incredibly special about earning the trust and love of a dog like Grant.
