Story
Sweet, high energy hound mix looking for his forever home! Maverick is still a puppy with LOTS of puppy energy, but now is the time to socialize him into the bestest boy! He previously lived with the full age range of kiddos from toddlers to teenagers, whom he loved; plus other pups! Maverick needs more focused attention than his previous owner knew they could provide with their busy household. They say he's housetrained and crate trained, so that's a win! You can visit this silly boy on our Dog Adoption Floor any time we're open! updated 01/15/26

Story
A true black beauty with a big heart and a bright mind. Onyx is friendly, loving, and deeply people focused. He listens well, picks things up quickly, and wants nothing more than your attention. He has no aggression at all. He simply wants to be close to his people and part of whatever is happening. He has been well loved and it shows in his manners and confidence. He is crate trained and continues to improve on leash. Walks are one of his favorite things. He happily greets people he meets along the way and mostly ignores other dogs, keeping his focus where it belongs. Onyx loves fetch and already knows sit, stay, and lay down. He is smart and eager, the kind of dog who enjoys learning and showing you what he knows. Onyx has lived successfully with three children and does beautifully with kids. He is patient, gentle, and engaged, making him a wonderful family dog. He would thrive in a home that has time to give him the attention and companionship he truly deserves. Onyx was adopted from OPH as a puppy and has been well cared for ever since. Due to unexpected medical and financial hardship, his family made the heartbreaking decision to return him so he can find stability again. He is ready to shine in a new home and give his whole heart to the next family lucky enough to choose him.

Story
Rocket Man is a dog with a strong personality. He is short and stocky, making him stand out among other dogs. Rocket Man enjoys being in control and likes to be the boss of the pack. He craves attention and loves being around people, always seeking out affection and playtime. However, his assertiveness can sometimes lead to him bullying less dominant or submissive dogs. Despite this behavior, Rocket Man's loving nature and need for human companionship make him an ideal companion for an active and experienced dog owner. He enjoys running around with other dogs at the dog park. With proper training and socialization, Rocket Man can become a loyal and loving pet who will always be by his owner's side. Story
Curtis is a handsome, medium-sized mixed breed boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s full of life, energy, and excitement; the kind of dog who’s always ready for an adventure or a good game of chase with a canine friend. Curtis is looking for an experienced adopter who understands his enthusiasm and can help him channel that energy in positive ways. He thrives with structure, patience, and playtime, and he requires another dog in the home to keep him balanced, confident, and happy. A dog buddy who loves to run, wrestle, and have fun would be his perfect match! Because of his spirited nature, Curtis would do best in an adult-only home where things are a bit calmer and his boundaries can be respected. Once he feels settled, you’ll see his sweet, affectionate side; a loyal, goofy, and loving companion who’s as cute as he is fun. If you’re an active person with an active pup looking for a new playmate, Curtis might just be the perfect fit. He’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and a little bit of happy chaos into your life! 🏡🐶❤️
