9/29/26 Update! We did it thanks to you!Because of your generous donations, shares, and kind words, we met our goal and Pretzel received the surgery she needed. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who rallied around this sweet puppy and helped give her the chance to live a happy, pain-free life.Pretzel, a nearly 6-month-old Feist-type mix who was found in Wise County, Virginia, after being dumped in a graveyard with her sister, underwent her Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery with Dr. Pat Denney at Reston Animal Hospital. We are thrilled to share that she has recovered very well!Now, Pretzel is ready for her next big adventure: finding her forever home. This resilient, happy girl is officially available for adoption and ready to bring her sweet face and loving spirit to a family of her own.Thank you again to Rescue Dog & End of Life Sanctuary, Jeffrey Locke for providing Pretzel’s rescue flight, Dr. Pat Denney and the team at Reston Animal Hospital, and every member of our incredible community who donated, shared her story, or cheered her on.Please help us spread the word that Pretzel is ready for adoption. Pretzel is only 5.5 months old, and she is asking for help with an injury no puppy should have to carry.Pretzel is a Feist-type mix who was found in Wise County, Virginia, dumped in a graveyard with her sister, Pizookie, who is already available for adoption. Because Pretzel’s past is unknown, we may never know exactly how she was hurt, but we do know she deserves comfort, healing, and the chance to grow up without pain.Rescue Dog & End of Life Sanctuary took Pretzel in and arranged x-rays, which confirmed she has a broken hip. Thanks to Jeffrey Locke’s rescue flight, Pretzel was brought to the Fauquier SPCA, where she can access the care she urgently needs.The always amazing Dr. Pat Denney will perform Pretzel’s Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery at Reston Animal Hospital. This procedure will help relieve her pain and give her the best chance at a happy, healthy future and eventually, the forever home she deserves.We need to raise $2,000 to cover Pretzel’s surgery and help her take the next step toward a full, pain-free life.
