I'm Betta, a timid but loving English Springer Spaniel mix who's been searching for a place to call home. Life hasn't always been easy for me, and I've spent a lot of time feeling scared and uncertain. But deep down, I know there's a heart full of love just waiting to blossom if given the chance.Life as a scared dog can be overwhelming. Loud noises make me jump, sudden movements send me running for cover, and new people or environments can be downright terrifying. But despite my fears, I'm a gentle soul who craves love and companionship.I may need some time to adjust to my new surroundings and build trust with my new family. But with patience, understanding, and plenty of gentle encouragement, I know I can learn to feel safe and secure once again.Despite my timid nature, I do have moments of sweetness and affection. When I feel safe and comfortable, I enjoy gentle pets and soothing words whispered in my ear. I can promise you that my love and loyalty run deep for those who show me kindness.Now, I'll be honest - I'm not always the best around small kids. They can be a bit overwhelming for me, and I prefer the company of older, more mature humans who can appreciate my unique charms. But if you're looking for a furry friend who's equal parts loyal and lovable, then look no further.So what do you say?
