If you would like more information about Coco or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to elizabeth.campbell92@yahoo.com I found Coco at an abandoned house in spring 2023. I had nowhere to take her, so I continued to visit and feed and water her until I had built a shed with a fenced yard. Coco is fixed and up to date on all vaccines. She is heartworm negative. A neighbor of the abandoned house informed me that Coco had been a street dog all her life. She is amazingly friendly and sweet though. She’s a senior girl but she still has A LOT of spunk. Coco is very playful and very loving. She has a hilarious looking underbite and makes the best facial expressions. Her teeth are mostly worn down from her tough life. She has a very thick coat and sheds like the dickens. Her “shake” is like a volleyball spike and she’s ready to show you. I would keep this dog if I could. Coco is a very good girl all around. A cuddle bug. She loves treats. This animal posted is not under the care, custody, or control of Friends For Life and shall at no time be considered the property of Friends For Life. There's something about fall — the way the air changes, the way light softens, the way old things shed to make room for new growth. For Candace, this season is her turning point. When she was first rescued, Candace was hidden beneath layers of mats and fear. She could barely walk and wanted to disappear. But with time, patience, and the gentle care of her foster mom, she's begun to bloom. Now, Candace greets each morning like a new chapter — trotting around the yard, inspecting every leaf, chasing the wind, and stretching in the sun. She's learning what safety feels like, what trust feels like… what home could feel like. She's still not a fan of the crate or fish oil (some things never change), but she's stronger, healthier, and happier every day. Candace is heartworm positive and continuing her slow-kill treatment, but that doesn't stop her from embracing this new season with confidence and curiosity. Candace would do best as the only dog, soaking up all the attention and calm she deserves. **Candace is being fostered in Texas. Paid transport can be arranged.
