Story
Mario is a sweet, handsome senior who spent about eight months in a foster home. Here’s what we learned:- He did well with kids of various ages- He did well with other dogs- He is housebroken - He is well- behaved when left home alone - He is gentle and polite on leash - He is friendly, happy and food- motivated - He will likely do best in a feline- free home“Mario is a very good dog with an incredibly sweet disposition. We think he’s got a good deal of flat-coated retriever in him, and I’d guess a bit of shepherd as well. He has some arthritis in his back legs and takes a couple of doggy-profin and Cosequin each day. These help him tons and keep him very nicely mobile. The only physical challenges that we’ve seen Mario have so far are multiple stairs (a couple are no problem) and getting into the car (because of his back legs).Mario loves taking long walks with our dog and is extremely well behaved on the leash. He has learned his name along with a few other commands while we’ve been fostering him. He has been an absolute sweetheart with us, our teenager, and our dog. He’s also done wonderfully with our backyard chickens - he is very calm, gentle, and slow around the coop. He was also a superstar at our New Year’s Eve party. He loved greeting all our guests and soaking up as many head scratches as folks could dole out!”Mario shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social, tolerant, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Story
Frosty is a young lab mix around a year old. She is spayed, current on vaccines including rabies & microchipped. She currently weighs around 60lbs. Frosty enjoys running, learning how to play fetch, chewing on her toys & playing with other dogs. We are unsure how she is around cats. She is crate trained, dog door trained & does well on a leash. She is house broken but accidents could happen while she adjusts to a new environment. She is a quick learner & would do well in a structured, energetic home with another 4-legged friend. She wants to be a lap dog & would love a spot in your bed at night, if you can make room for her. She is loyal & will show you how much she loves you with kisses. She was recently diagnosed with valley fever & is responding well to her meds! Frosty needs a patient family, ready to continue her training while she finds herself! Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com & you will be contacted within 48hrs if your application fits her current needs. Click HERE for the adoption application ##2015073##

Story
Checkers is a neutered male lab mix born 12/2023. He is current on age appropriate vaccines & microchipped. He weighs around 30lbs. Checkers is a confident, happy, energetic & playful boy! He gets along with other dogs & all sized humans. We are unsure about cats. He is potty, crate & leash/harnessed trained. He loves all toys & anything to chew on. He would love a secured, attached yard to run & play in! He is very food motivated, which is great for training! Checkers is deaf  & it does not slow him down one bit. He is working on ASL command training with his foster family & has learned sit, stay, treats & all gone. We do feel he would do well in a home with another dog that he can learn from & follow for guidance.  Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com & you will be contacted within 48hrs if your application fits his current needs.
