My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Clay! This handsome young Lab mix was born in December and is officially ready to find a forever family to shower with affection. Clay is a world-class snuggler who has the most endearing habit of "hugging" your hand while you hold him; give him a good ear rub and he’ll fall fast asleep in your arms in no time. With his contagious energy and the absolute best smile, he is more than ready to bring some serious fun and joy to his future home!

Clay is a friendly guy who gets along great with humans and dogs of all sizes, though his feelings on cats are still a mystery for now. ‍ He is current on vaccines, microchipped, and has his neuter already scheduled. Since he’s still learning the ropes, he’ll need a patient family to provide guidance as he masters his potty, kennel, and leash training. ‍

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who gives the best hugs and even better smiles, Clay is waiting for you!

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
