Story
This is Halligan, a 3 year old Flat Coat Retriever who is in desparate need of a home.  His owner is in the military and leaving San Antonio, Texas on Friday, October 27.  He will turn him into our very high kill shelter at that time.   I was just made aware of the situation.  Halligan is an extremely friendly and family pet who loves kids but only good with his pet companion Akira who is also availabile for adoption.  If you can give him a home please submit an application on the website below or give me a call so we can save his life.  Thank you, www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         April 23, 2024, 6:45 pm

Story
Handsome Max is a friendly and relaxed puppy who is happy playing or sitting in the sunshine thinking deep thoughts. He is a 10-week old Flat-coat Retriever/Aussie mix.  He is very smart boy who likes other dogs, respectful to kids and may even be fine with cats. He loves to have fun and is a very big fan of routine in his life. Most of all, he has a huge amount of love to give to a very lucky forever family.  We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $675 which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption and age appropriate spay/neuter.

These pups are in New Haven, Connecticut too!

Story
Adoption donation $799      Age: 4 months of 5/24/2024        weight 13 lbs        John Boy is a sweet, adorable puppy who is all wiggles and kisses, he is a darling quiet boy, very mellow for his ages. John Boy’s mother is a rat terrier of about 27 pounds and we believe dad is a small golden receiver/white lab.      John Boy’s mom showed up as a stray to a home in rural Mississippi house and gave birth a couple of days later. Wags took in the family of eight, taking care of them, giving the puppies their shots, and is now helping them find loving homes.       John Boy spent his early months with his mom and siblings, romping and playing and snuggling into a big puppy pile to nap. John boy loves to play with the other dogs in the home and ignores  the cat. He rides well in the car and is loving and a cuddle bug.  He is housebroken as long as he goes out regularly but may need additional guidance when he adjusts to a new home.     John Boy arrived in the northeast on Saturday, April 20 and settled in quickly in his new foster home, he will be neutered in the northeast when he is older, his neuter is included in his adoption fee at one of the clinics Wags uses or the rescue will reimburse adopters what we pay if you choose to use your own vet.   Wags is a struggling 501 C3 in rural Mississippi where one woman cares for 150 stray and abandoned dogs, many of whom are older or have medical issue and  require expensive vet care. Adoption donations are the only way we can afford to care for the older and sick dogs at the rescue.   For more information about adopting John Boy  please email his foster mom at mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com.April 25, 2024, 10:59 pm
