SUNNY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!   Meet Sweet Sunny! Sunny is a gentle, 10-year-old senior pup weighing about 35 pounds with a beautiful black coat and an even more beautiful heart. She loves going on walks, greeting new people and dogs, and riding along for car adventures. At home, Sunny is the queen of relaxation—she’s happiest lounging on the couch and hanging out with her humans. Sunny has lovely manners and gets along with everyone she meets. Because she thrives on companionship, she’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the day. She can stay in a kennel if needed, but it’s not her favorite place, so a family who’s around often would help her feel secure and loved. If you’re looking for a mellow, friendly companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Sunny may be the perfect match! She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Sunny up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Sunny here:  www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! ROSCO IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!   Hello, my name is Rosco! My tail is ALWAYS wagging and a smile finds its way on my face! I make an effort to wiggle and pitter-patter in a little dance as a show of love for my family. Oh! Guess what! I LOVE swimming!! My family has taught me a few tricks, too! I can swim and dive down to the bottom of the pool to retrieve my toys. This game is my FAVORITE! I  also know how to play catch and sit on command. However, it should be known that I don’t do well with cats; they are just too tempting to chase. I love to play, take walks, and enjoy a good snuggle/nap. I am good at laying close, and I think I personally make a great companion. I am often told what a good boy I am. I’ve been crate trained as well; it has become my place of rest and calm. I am housebroken and walk good on a leash. I am 10 months old, 35 pounds, and ready for my forever family. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. Story
HAMM IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!     Hi!! I’m the Great Hambino!! But you can call me Hamm. Guess what??? I got to go on a field trip to an adoption event today! It was so much fun. Usually I live in a place called a boarding kennel because there aren’t enough foster homes for me to live in a house. But I sure would like that! At the adoption event they said I acted like a really good boy but I don’t really understand cause it was no act- I honestly am just a good boy. I walked nice on my leash and I was friendly with the other dogs. There was a little toddler girl who was petting me and she even took my bone but I didn’t care. I liked her. I got to have a pup cup too!! It’s pretty much like ice cream and oh boy it was yummy!!! I don’t get to play a lot at the kennel and I’m pretty laid back so I’ve put on a couple extra pounds. If I could play in your yard and go for some walks, that would help me get back to a healthier weight. I like to play with other dogs! But I think I’d really like to cuddle on the couch with you in my own home and have some more of that ice cream. But I had to go back to the kennel place and now I’m a bit sad. Could you maybe foster me?? Or better yet, let me join your family?? I promise I’m a no trouble low maintenance guy. I just hope someone gives me a chance. He is completely vetted. Vetting includes spaying/neutering, microchip, rabies as well as all puppy vaccinations, and has been on preventatives. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Hamm up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Hamm here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm

Lakeisha is a stunning Labrador Retriever mix with a warm heart and a joyful spirit. This friendly girl is the definition of a happy-go-lucky pup—she loves meeting new people, playing fetch, and going for walks. Whether she’s chasing a ball or soaking up attention, Lakeisha brings a smile to everyone around her. She’s great with other dogs, loves kids, and would thrive in an active home where she can be part of the fun. True to her Lab nature, she’s loyal, affectionate, and always ready for her next adventure—or cuddle session! Come see Lakeisha at The River Lane, 7 Main Street, Essex, CT on June 28th and 29th, from 11:00am to 4:00pm. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ANY OF OUR DOGS PLEASE APPLY ONLINE IMMEDIATELY. See www.godogdays.org for details. Here is more information about me: GENERAL BEHAVIOR AND IDEAL HOME: Most rescues will not adopt out dogs, including puppies, to families with children under the age of 6 years old. Rescues will not allow dogs or puppies to go to homes where they will be crated during the full work day. The rescue has noticed this dog is generally good with dogs. However dogs, like people, act differently in different settings and a new adopter should expect there will be an adjustment period of time before before the dog settles in to a new home. At this time we ONLY adopt to residents of the state of Connecticut who live no more than one hour from the event site. GENERAL VETERINARY CARE: I have been ~ spayed/neutered ~ microchipped ~ dewormed ~ heartworm-tested negative if dog is of age to be tested ( 6 months or older) ~ up to date on all age appropriate shots ~ treated with a flea preventative ADOPTION FEES Rescues participating in our events are not allowed to charge more than $450 an adoption fee and some adoption fees are much less - it depends on what the rescue chooses to charge - Dog Days does not take any portion of the adoption fees. ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION FORM: https://redletterbusiness.wufoo.com/forms/find-my-new-best-friend/ (Copy and paste to browser.) ADOPTION PROCESS - Before the Event If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. PLEASE Fill in the application if you're interested in adoption, this will save you time at the event. We hope you will understand the careful scrutiny of potential adopters is not only for the safety and well-being of the dog but also for a positive experience for your household. Thank you for saving the life of a shelter dog through adoption; you are truly a hero. -- A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference. -- If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property. Dog Days will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters. -- If you have never owned a dog and therefore do not have a vet reference let us know right away and we'll try to do a home visit before the adoption weekend. First time adopters need a quick home visit to make sure they are ready to take a dog home for the first time. ADOPTION PROCESS - During the Event Weekend -- Plan on spending at least three to four hours going through the adoption process. We want you to be completely confident in your new pal so we will ask you to speak to a trainer, a veterinarian as well as interview with a member of our adoption team and the rescue. -- As a policy, Dog Days will not hold dogs for potential adopters so it is important to come to the event by 11:00am Saturday morning if you have your heart set on a particular dog. -- PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE GIVEN TO THE BEST HOME, NOT FIRST IN LINE. -- At this time we ONLY adopt to residents of the state of Connecticut who live no more than one hour from the event site. Each dog and puppy has been seen by a Connecticut veterinarian who will also be on site to answer any questions you may have. We'll have professional groomers on site to give your new pal a bath before you take them home (no charge) and our adoption bags will give you information and samples for use at home. See www.godogdays.org for details.
