Story
Bobby is a sweet little puppy, not really sure about his breed but whatever he is he’s adorable. He’s happy and outgoing. Loves to play with other dogs, he likes to explore around the yard. He will be a great addition to any home. He’s a little shy when you first meet but once he knowes you, he’s a big love. He has a beautiful coat. He’s anround 25 lbs, so I think he’s going to be a medium size dog. Everyone that meets him, can’t believe he isn’t already adopted. He tries to talk sometimes, I haven’t figured out what he’s telling me but I know he’s telling me something, lol. I know his family is out there, if you think you might be the one for him. Reach out for more info. In the meantime check out his video. Bobby Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Bart! Bart is a handsome 2-year-old Flat-Coated Retriever mix with a heart as big as his wagging tail. Weighing in at 50 pounds, he's the perfect medium-large size for snuggles, adventures, and everything in between. Bart is full of youthful energy and loves to play, but he’s also got a mellow, affectionate side that makes him a wonderful companion. Whether it’s a game of fetch or a cozy nap by your side, Bart is happiest when he’s with his people.  He’s a sweet boy who doesn’t like city life. He gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in an active home that can keep up with his playful spirit and continue his basic training. With his smart, eager-to-please personality, Bart is ready to learn and bond with a forever family. Ready to bring home your new best friend? Bart can’t wait to meet you!  Already neutered, microchipped and vaccinated all he needs is you.  To adopt Bart apply at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application on a laptop or computer. If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Meet Cosmo This adorable guy has the spunk and spirit of a typical pup. His mom was unfortunately run over and he had to have a little help being bottle fed until able to eat on his own. You would not know it by looking at him or in his glowing personality. Cosmo is always up for a romp during playtime. He is also one of the sweetest snugglers. Cosmo has grown to adoption age in the same wonderful household and his foster mom would love to give you all the details on his daily life. Cosmo is well socialized and would do great in a home with or without dogs and/or with or without children. If you are looking for a dedicated family companion, you can’t go wrong with this cutie. Once adopted, Cosmo will transport with Rescue Vet Transport to his new forever family (additional $185). If you would like to give him a life time of belly rubs please follow the link below to our adoption application. Please note, our volunteer team works very hard and they are very responsive so please submit your application only when you are ready to welcome your new furry friend. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION.. MARGARITA is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas and the adoption fee includes her transportation with Mighty Mutt Shipping if interested there is an application on our website https:/www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org/apply/ This is MARGARITA She is approx 5 years and 65 lbs - she needs a diet! she was thrown away in a field with just a few bushes for shelter and found by a lady that contacted us to rescue her, she looks like a mini lab mix, she is full of personality, she does like to run and play with her rescue buddies and loves people, however , she does not like to share her food with the other dogs, not people, and will growl at any of them that go near when she is eating or has a treat, so we feed her apart from the others, she loves to chase squirrels and ill sit in the yard for ages waiting for one to appear... she would be great for someone that likes to hike or jog, as she loves to eat and could do to lose a few lbs.. she does need a fully fenced in and secure yard, she seems to be well house trained and does well on a leash she tested positive for heart worms when we took her in and has been treated with the recommended heart worm treatment by the American Heartworm Society, we find that the dogs usually test negative in 4-6 months after treatment, THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS,WE SHIP OUR DOGS WITH MIGHTY MUTT SHIPPING TO THE NORTH EAST OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years.
