Story
Socialization: Webb is cautious and respectful when meeting new people, however he quickly opens up and enjoys cuddles/pets; he is very much a Velcro dog and wants to be by your side. Webb prefers slow and respectful introductions with dogs, but is generally very friendly once he is used to them. He is very playful with dogs, and would love another young dog to play with and learn confidence from. He has met children and was respectful of them as well. Webb has been working hard on staying calm around our cat/the neighborhood cats but is easily over-stimulated around small animals/prey; due to this, we feel his ideal home would be cat-free, or one with a large, dog-saavy cat. Webb is a joy to have and would love to continue to blossom with another medium to large dog in the home. Training: Webb is very smart and has learned sit, down, stay, and kennel. He enjoys learning and training and would excel in a sport such as rally or obedience. Webb walks calmly on a leash with a no-pull harness, and has been taught to sit whenever his human stops. He is also working on impulse control with the command "break", and other games. Webb will need ongoing training, and specifically training to support his enrichment needs and provide a mental and physical job, he is not a dog who will be happy staying at home 24/7. Crate trained: Webby is crate trained, and will go to his kennel on command using the cue, "kennel". However, Webby struggles with separation anxiety and will vocalize in his kennel if left alone for any period of time; he can also be destructive, with a tendency to swallow items. Webb would love a person who can be home a lot, and/or take him with them when traveling. Alternatively, another dog companion who can stay home with him. Webb does well when my personal dog stays home, and will sleep in his kennel as long as he has buddy. He does not like to be the only one left alone. His humans should use caution when leaving him alone/out without more training or removing items that may be tempting to destroy and eat. Leash trained: Webby does great on a no-pull, front clip harness. He has learned to sit/lie down when cued on walks, and will automatically sit when his human stops while walking, or at intersections. Webb responds excellent to positive reinforcement and is highly food motivated. Webb will react to cats and squirrels on walks, and sometimes other reactive dogs, but can be redirected using treats. While this has improved, he still experiences nervousness to loud noises outside of the home. Webb requires an active person to accompany him on walks and would do best with someone who can handle his strength and excitement. Activity level/requirements: Webb is a high-energy breed and will need active daily enrichment in order for him to stay well regulated. Without proper mental and physical stimulation, he can become reactive/vocal and restless. After proper enrichment, Webb will match your energy levels and loves to nap on the couch. His ideal home is someone dedicated to his ongoing training and who can balance his activity needs. Fence requirements: While he has never tried to jump our fence, he could easily clear a fence less than 6ft. As a result, a home with tall fencing is ideal as he currently does not have strong recall or any training off-leash. Personality: Webby is extremely lovable, sweet, and playful. He is a true velcro dog, and does not want to leave his person's side. He can by shy or aloof at first, but once he learns to trust you, he will open up and show his playful/goofy personality! Webb has some reservations out in public, and will need someone dedicated to continue building his confidence. Health history: UTD on vaccinations, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, & on monthly heartworm preventative. Webb has completed Heartworm treatment and will need to be retested in 6 months. He also experienced a multi-fracture in his left front leg, and while he has no current limitations, arthritis may surface in the future. Foster comments: Webb's dream home would include an active and patient family who are dedicated to his ongoing training and anxiety needs. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog, and would love the chance to be with a family who he can go majority of places with. Webb is truly so special and we have adored having him, he will be a wonderful addition to the right home. Foster Location: Houston, TX Volunteer transport can be arranged in the Continental US within a 1,000-mile distance between adopters & foster home. If interstate transport is provided for your adopted dog, there will be an additional charge of $75.00 for the required Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI).  Typically, we are able to transport your adopted dog to within 2 hours of your home. *Dogs can be adopted outside the 1000-mile transport distance; however, adopters must be willing to either fly their adopted dog, drive to a location within the 1000-mile transport range, or make independent transport arrangements for their adopted dog. Transports to far Western states, from Eastern states, may have additional restrictions. ##2623079##

Story
Orion is a playful, affectionate 2-year-old who’s ready to find his forever home. This big sweetheart is not only full of personality, but he’s also a fast learner who enjoys picking up new tricks. He loves spending quality time on the couch just as much as he enjoys getting out for walks, playing with his favorite toys, and earning tasty treats. Orion is both crate trained and house broken, making him an easy addition to a loving home. When he’s outside, he’s in his element—exploring, soaking up the fresh air, and enjoying every moment. And when it’s time to relax, he’ll happily roll onto his back for belly rubs, soaking up all the affection he can get. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a playful spirit and a heart of gold, Orion might just be your perfect match.

Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 610-656-1291 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. June 19, 2026, 9:02 pm
