They must be adopted together, and for the right family we will waive their adoption fee. They do require a family experienced with severly abused dogs—no exceptions. Cher & Sienna are shy but sweet due to severe abuse, seeking a patient home with a relaxed lifestyle. Gentle guidance will help them come out of their shells. Treated kindly, they promise to blossom. However, with time and patience, they warm up and show no aggression, only a deep longing for trust and love. We accept Venmo, Zelle, PayPal & Credit Cards for the adoption fee.      About LNF Dogs/Puppies: All dogs and puppies have undergone temperament testing. They live in foster homes. They are housebroken (puppies are paper-trained) and crate trained. They have been microchipped for identification purposes. They have been tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, and Lyme disease. Each dog is on year-round Heartworm medication while in the rescue's care. They are up-to-date with Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, Parvo, and Leptospirosis vaccines. They have been wormed. Adoption Fee: The adoption fee includes 30 days of FREE pet insurance, with an option to purchase additional coverage. The rescue strives to provide the best medical care to ensure the health of the dogs, including spaying or neutering. Adoption Requirements: A minimum physical fence of 4 feet in height is mandatory and must be installed. Some dogs may require a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence, as noted in their profiles. Electric fences are not accepted under any circumstances. Meet RicochetRicochet is a 2‑year‑old Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix with a heart full of drive and a mouth full of tennis balls — seriously, this boy could play fetch for hours and still be ready for more. If you know Chessies, you know they’re smart, energetic, and deeply loyal, and Ricochet is no exception. He loves people, loves having a job, and loves being part of someone’s day.Shelter life has been stressful for him, and he’s doing everything he can to stay upbeat, but after 7 months with little to no interest, we honestly don’t understand why he’s still here. He’s handsome, fun, eager to please, and ready to give his whole heart to the right person.Ricochet previously lived with another dog, but due to the stress of the shelter environment, he will need to be the only pet in the home. Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. Meet Beaux Handsome 'Beaux' bansome is our beautiful young lab tripod mix! Beaux made his way to HAP all the way from Louisiana when they no longer had space for him. Despite losing one of his front legs due to being hit by a car, that doesn't slow Beaux down at all! He's so full of life and energy and loves to go out exploring. In typical young lab fashion, he's always looking for something to do. Beaux has made a few canine friends since his arrival. However, in true young, excitable lab fashion, he sometimes can be a little too much - he likes to sort of just throw his entire body to play, but if the other dog is game, Beaux loves to make friends! He does love to try and chase birds and squirrels and cats so would need to go to a home with no small animals or cats. Beaux loves meeting new people and has been on lots of doggy day out trips!
