This gorgeous girl is June Bug, our friend from The Rescue Project. She's a lab mix and about three years old. But more importantly, she's a happy girl is so much fun! June Bug isn't just pretty. She has the smarts, too! She's very willing to work for people she likes (and food, she's willing to work for food). June Bug particularly enjoys showing people that she knows shake with both paws, as she's perfected that skill, and knows she'll get ... food! She likes learning new things, so go ahead and teach her all the fun stuff to help keep her mind busy. Rocky is a gentle soul who starts his morning with some stretches, downward dog yoga poses, and meditation (aka naps in the sun). He's a big chap at about 80 pounds, but don't worry, at just about five years old, Rocky won't be growing more! We recently learned that Rocky loooooooves to swim! Like, really loves it and could possibly be a water sports dog, too. He dives for the ball and really commits by putting his head and body under the water! This pooch has heart *and* skills, we're happy to report. He's also super cute -- bonus! You couldn't ask for a better pooch than this guy. He's intelligent, affectionate, loving, house-trained, and doesn’t chew on anything (except for toys and Benebone wishbones). Do you have a dog in need of a canine companion? Fantastic! Rocky adores the dogs in his foster home. He carefully picks out toys to share with them, and then they enjoy a good game of chase in the yard. He would also do great as the only pooch in his home if he gets plenty of attention from the humans. Rocky is not so much a cat guy, though. Rocky already knows sit, stay, come, touch, and shake. He loves earning treats by doing these tricks and could be easily trained to learn even more. Rocky takes treats so, so gently from your hand, too. (He's such a good boy!) Some of Rocky's favorite things are getting pets, riding in the car, being outdoors, playing with toys, and going on walks. While Rocky loves cuddling in bed with his humans, he patiently waits to be invited up, because he's polite like that. What Rocky would love to do most of all, though, is find his forever home. He is around 6 years old. He is a very loving dog and he is also good with small kids. We live in a small 1 bedroom apartment and he doesn’t have a lot of space. We also recently had a baby and while he isn’t violent with kids, he hasn’t adjusted well to the baby. He has become very sad that our attention isn’t all on him anymore. He also isn’t able to be walked as much with our new schedules with the baby. He barks loudly by the baby and wakes the baby up intentionally. He went to stay with his grandma and she had no issues at all and didn’t chew anything. He just needs lots of attention and wants to be the only “good boy”. He does have a brother pup that he loves as well and we would like them to stay together. They’ve been together for years and would be upset to be separated. He is an amazing dog, and we are so sad to rehome. He just hasn’t adjusted well to having a baby in the house.

Chase has learned to live with our cat & I've seen him play well with small dogs.He has medium/big dog fear aggression. I asked previous owner if he had been attacked or bitten by another dog or wild animal, they said no. He's been a part of our family for 4 yrs & isn't as reactive w/other dogs as he used to be. That's to say, if he is a good distance he doesn't growl, show teeth, or lunge as much.Chase needs an experienced adopter, plenty of room to roam in his own pvt yard without medium/big dogs nearby. I have talked with a couple of trainers & they think it's likely he can be trained out of his fear aggression. This would be from a knowledgeable owner or trained professional.He loves people & attention. I would caution that he isn't in a home w/small children just because he hasn't lived w/young children in our home or w/original owner.He really is very sweet like Golden Retrievers are known for, he just has some special needs.Any of his supplies you want are part of adoption fee!
