Story
With a name like Happy, the names says it all. If you have already watched his video you will know- this boy is truly happy. From the hop in his run to the one ear up one ear down cuteness of his face, this boy can chase off the worst blues just by being him and yours. If you haven't seen his video, watch it now then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/El8zDhURQU8 Happy is estimated to be 1 year old, possibly a flat-coated retriever, and he weighs 42 lbs. Of course we cannot guarantee age or breed but those are not the details that make Happy a keeper. A few things that make him a dream boy… he is dog-friendly, a daycare regular, a fetch champion and a french-fry enthusiast! Happy is a regular at doggie daycare, and he thrives around other dogs. His play style is goofy, cheerful, and easily described as “let’s be friends!” energy. He would absolutely love living with another playful dog not only for companionship, but because it’s where he shines most, and honestly, you’ll enjoy it just as much. If your dog loves fetch, chase, silly antics, or just being around other dogs, Happy will fit right in. He is best described as happy-go-lucky and playful. He LOVES toys, plays fetch with enthusiasm, and brings the cutest, innocent, puppyish charm to everything he does. For all his playful energy outdoors, Happy settles in beautifully inside the home. He is respectful, easygoing, well-mannered, and a pro at relaxing after a good play session (a personal fave quality.) He’s also great in the car, he rides calmly and politely, and loves to call shot-gun! While your out and about together he will happily tag-along for a snack run but insider tip- he will, unlike most dogs, pass on a pup cup, but a french fry? He will never refuse a french fry! He’s treat-motivated, attentive, and already knows sit, down, and shake. With consistency and positive reinforcement, he’s the type of dog who will happily learn anything your teaching. He could adapt to an apartment with regular outlets for exercise and play, but he’d be thrilled in a home with a yard where he can play fetch, run and stretch his legs. As for cats, Happy loves them, as playmates, which means chasing and pawing- so not the best match. A no-cat household will be best. Let’s recap the reasons we love him! Starting with the most basic- because he is pure sunshine.Happy is full of joy, full of playful energy, and ready to pour all of that into his forever family. He’s loving, expressive, loyal, and wonderfully silly- the perfect companion for someone who wants a best friend who brings happiness everywhere he goes. If you’re craving the companionship of a dreamy dog with a side of joy, laughter, fetch sessions, and wagging tails, this is your boy! He is ready to be the one who always greets you like you’re the best part of his day… Ready to make your house a Happy home? Story
Meet Kobe, a beautiful young Flat Coat Retriever with a heart as big as his smile. Weighing about 55 pounds and estimated to be around one year old, Kobe is the definition of a happy, loving companion. He was found alone in a rural Tennessee community, and despite extensive efforts, no owner ever came forward. The caring couple who found him wanted more than anything to help, but their frequent travel made it impossible to give Kobe the stability he needed. Thanks to Critter Cavalry Rescue, Kobe was placed straight into foster care instead of being left behind in a rural shelter. Kobe has a personality that lights up every room. Friendly, affectionate, and eager to please, he has the classic temperament of a Flat Coat Retriever — often described as very similar to a Golden Retriever, but with a sparkle all their own. He adores other dogs, loves meeting new people, and greets everyone with a wagging tail, a joyful grin, and his signature move of offering his paw for a handshake. Kobe’s warmth and enthusiasm make him an incredible family dog. Kobe will be neutered on December 13th and microchipped so he will always have a way home if lost again. He is searching for a family that can offer a safely fenced yard, plenty of companionship, and a lifelong commitment to keeping him secure and loved. Kobe would be an excellent fit for a home with children and active people who are excited to share life with a joyful, devoted dog. If you are ready to commit to the next 15 years with a truly special dog and can provide the safety, training time, and love Kobe deserves, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to apply.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 12, 2026, 9:04 pm
