Aleu was brought in as a stray and never claimed. Aleu is a beautiful mix of white shepherd, husky and golden retriever (that is our best guess anyway) and she is a sweet girl, she walks calmly on a leash and absolutely can't be around cats. Aleu was born in December 2018 and keeps a very clean kennel here at the shelter. She needs to lose a little bit of weight and we are working on that now. Aleu would love to find a new home with a new best friend that she can love for the rest of her life. All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
