Story
Can you imagine waking up with this little sweet thing by your side?? Believe it or not this black beauty did not have the best start in her itty bitty life. She came in the shelter a scraggly looking little hot mess. Who knew she would turn out to be such a stunning little beauty? Tess has the softest shiniest jet black coat now. Her paperwork name is Tess but her foster mom calls her Jett. Tess is a pretty typical perfect little pup. She is fostering with an older dog and another young foster pup and plays, eat and sleeps wonderfully with both. You can’t go wrong adding this sweet girl to your family. Tess is going to make someone a wonderful walking companion. Once adopted she will travel via private transport (transport cost is $185.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this girl part of your family please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Charming Chris! He is a good boy but will need some obedience training. He is a little selective of his doggie friends so he will have to meet all housemates before adoption. He was found as a stray on 7/31/2023 in Harmony Township with a collar but No ID, No Microchip. No one came looking for him. Chris is a Flat Coated Retriever about 4 years old. The people who found him named him so we kept the name of 'Chris'. He would do best in a home with older children and no cats.UPDATE: 8/11/23 Chris has been to the vet and has tested positive for heart worms. He won't be able to start treatment at the shelter due to the fact he must remain quiet and be in a quiet environment. Please consider helping Chris by finding him a home that will help him! There is a group that will help assist, in some manner, with the cost of his treatment to an approved adopter. Don't let this be the reason you don't adopt him, he still deserves a loving family! Come meet Chris at the Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Gilead, OH. 419-946-1747 April 27, 2024, 1:29 pm

Story
Asher is a handsome brindle boy with the most beautiful green eyes! He is a confident boy who LOVES to run around and play with toys and play with her foster sister. He LOVES all toys! He is very energetic, but can also entertain himself with fun toys and quality chews. He loves to be right by your side and cuddle with you after playing. His favorite toys are squeaky balls and toys that he can carry around and squeak. He would do best in a fenced in yard. He would do best in a home with older children due to him in his teething stage right now. He is learning to redirect to a chew toy. He is looking for an active family who will take him on lots of walks, fun adventures and give him plenty of exercise. He LOVES walking and would be a great hiking partner and anything outdoors! He would be an awesome doggie daycare too! He went to daycare and LOVED the structured play with other pups! He has been hiking and did amazing! He is doing is doing well with the potty training process, but will need a consistent, patient family to continue this process. He is crate trained and is adjusting to being in there well through out the night. He prefers to sleep with his people. :) He is a smart boy and is showing progress each day learning a lot! He is working on his puppy commands and manners. He will need a patient, consistent family to continue his training. He will ready for puppy classes when he is adopted. We HIGHLY encourage obedience/behavior training for all of our pups once adopted into their forever homes. If you live an active lifestyle and are ready to bring this adorable boy into you home, please apply to meet her at PetPromise.org Please fill out an adoption application at PetPromise.org We only adopt out in Columbus, Ohio area only.
