Bailey is an absolute sweetheart! She was found as a stray out in the country which means somebody probably left her on the side of the road. She was positive for heartworm but has finished her treatment!! She loves being around people and she loves to play especially tug of rope. She is a talker and very treat motivated. She knows sit and working with her on paw and lay down. Now because of her age she still has the puppy tendencies but she loves going on walks but someone who is patient with her will be able to teach her that chasing cars is not okay. She follows my kids around the yard and plays with them and she loves the snuggles. She is incredibly smart and would make a great family dog. She is an all-around good girl who is just looking for a family to love me. If you think you could be that family, Located in North Texas, Transport fee included

Story
HeroMaleAge: 3 yearsWeight: 65 lbsBreed: Bulldog/Lab MixTrial Adoption Eligible Hey, I’m Hero — though around my foster home I also answer to Sweet Boy, Short King, Hot Dog, and Piggie. I wear them all with pride. I’m about three years old and finally learning how to just be a dog. It’s been a journey, but I’m figuring it out — learning to trust my humans, enjoy structure, and feel safe in my space. I’m fully house trained and crate trained, walk nicely on leash, and honestly? I’m a pretty chill dude. Like, surprisingly chill. I don’t get into things I shouldn’t, I enjoy routines, and I really just want to be part of your world — preferably while holding your hand, licking peanut butter off a spoon, or soaking up morning snuggles. I’ve got a solid list of commands under my belt: sit, come, down, leave it, let’s go, place, and now shake. I thrive with positive reinforcement (and maybe a blueberry or two). I feel safest with gentle structure, clear boundaries, and humans who recognize how smart I am and keep my brain engaged with walks, training, puzzles, and games. Some of my favorite things include watching baseball (from the couch), yoga (yes, really), fenced-in backyards, long walks in any weather, and being near my people. I’m deeply loyal, affectionate, and incredibly bonded to my humans once I trust them. That said, it’s important to be honest about what I need to succeed. Over time, it’s become clear that I do best as the only animal in the home. I have shown resource guarding and reactive behaviors when other animals are present, and for everyone’s safety, I need a calm, predictable environment without other pets. Because of this, I’m also not a good fit for homes with children under 15. I’m not a “take me everywhere” kind of dog — I’m a ride-or-die companion for the right person. The kind who will quietly love you with his whole heart, make you laugh daily with his goofy underbite, and show you what it means to be truly grateful to be safe, understood, and chosen. If you’re an experienced, patient adopter looking for a deeply devoted companion and are willing to honor my boundaries, I promise I’ll give you everything I’ve got. To help me find the perfect match, I’m eligible for Cause for Canines’ Trial Adoption Program! This gives approved adopters a chance to get to know me in their home before making things official. You must be an approved adopter to participate. Apply to adopt Hero at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $350. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 15+ ##2188352##

Story
Mochi is a Golden Retriever that we fostered and decided to own. She was dumped in a box with 4-5 other puppies in front of a human society at 8 weeks old, so we have had her since essentially birth. Mochi was born in February 2023. A DNA revealed that she is mostly Golden Retriever at 79%. Perhaps we did not expose her to others at a young age, or mainly because she is a female Golden, because she is sassy/ defensive, and does not like people, which is unfortunate, because everyone wants to pet her because she is so pretty! But she will growl and bark at strangers. She does get along very well with other dogs (as long as they don't try to steal her food!) Mochi does well at non-leash dog parks. Speaking of which, Mochi is VERY FOOD MOTIVATED. She starts opening up to strangers when food is involved. Occasionally, her paws get itchy, so itchy cream and powder can be used to relieve the itch. Given her defensive behavior, I am requesting an experienced adopter. Thank you.

Story
Lily is a sweet, loving, and active dog who brings a lot of joy and personality with her. I am looking for a new home for her because I have to move to different state for work, and the place I am going will not be suitable for her. Lily loves to play, especially tug of war, and she also enjoys cuddling up close when she feels safe and comfortable. She can be a little scared of rain and thunder, so she does best with someone who can be patient and comforting during storms and loud noises. She is affectionate, a little needy in the sweetest way, and loves being close to her person. I am hoping to find her a caring, stable home where she will get plenty of love, attention, and playtime.

Story
💙 This handsome boy is Cash and he is looking for his very own family. He’s a 2-3 year old Mixed Breed. Our vet's best guess was that he looked like a labrador retriever with Australian shepherd, maybe!Cash was found out in a field in Circleville, OH - home to the Pumpkin Show. 🎃🎃🎃🧡Cash has some basic obedience training, he is a very smart boy and picks up on things quickly. He loves his couch time with his favorite snake toy, and belly rubs.  He is house trained & will tell you when he needs to potty. Cash is great with people and dogs. He has never been around a cat so he would need a slow introduction. His foster family says he has been a joy to have around. He would do best with kids a little older because your space is his space and he could knock over little ones.Cash would do best with another dog for security.  He can be anxious without another dog.  He would do best in a low traffic home with few strangers. Strangers tend to make him anxious. you can apply to foster or adopt Cash at ricopetrecovery.org. Adoption fee is $250

Story
🚨 URGENT: Sweet senior Angelo desperately needs a loving forever or foster home TODAY! This gentle old man has already overcome so much. A county warden once tased him leaving the prongs in his body when he was unable to capture him. Angelo went on to be humanely trapped, and has blossomed in home care. When he first arrived, he didn’t even know how to play. Now he happily chases balls, snuggles his stuffies, and loves a good game of tug! With the help of a trainer, he’s learned: “no,” “sit,” “wait,” “stay,” “come,” and “down” (with a hand signal).Angelo is fully house-trained, can be left home alone without crating, and loves nothing more than soaking up the sun and napping in a yard. He’s approximately 10 years old, has had a full dental, and is completely vetted and ready for couch snuggles. He lived peacefully with two cat friends until a recent disagreement (no one was hurt), so he now immediately needs a new home without cats. He does best as the one and only dog in a calm, quiet home with a secure fenced yard — he gets anxious on public walks and certain men in hats make him anxious. If you have a peaceful home with a yard, Angelo is waiting for you. 🏡Please help us find this sweet old soul the safe, loving retirement home he deserves! Story
Bear Bear is just under a year and nearly perfect! She is so pretty and has the loveliest eyes 😍 Bear adores kids and follows them around and even sleeps with them She is great with cats and she and the family dog are quickly becoming friends. 😁 She is house trained, doesn't beg for food, has no food aggression, and takes treats so gently. She's good on a leash and loves taking walks. She doesn't rush the door when it opens and loves to be with her people. 💙 Bear is fairly small (maybe around 40lbs) and is going to make some family or person feel like they won the lottery! 🩷 Bear does currently have separation anxiety and needs a family where the people are home the majority of the time. While we hope that her anxiety will ease up as she becomes more secure and established in her new home, her family will need to be patient and gradually build up her tolerance for alone time. Adoption fee is $350.
