  Meet Kobe, a beautiful young Flat Coat Retriever with a heart as big as his smile. Weighing about 55 pounds and estimated to be around one year old, Kobe is the definition of a happy, loving companion. He was found alone in a rural Tennessee community, and despite extensive efforts, no owner ever came forward. The caring couple who found him wanted more than anything to help, but their frequent travel made it impossible to give Kobe the stability he needed. Thanks to Critter Cavalry Rescue, Kobe was placed straight into foster care instead of being left behind in a rural shelter. Kobe has a personality that lights up every room. Friendly, affectionate, and eager to please, he has the classic temperament of a Flat Coat Retriever — often described as very similar to a Golden Retriever, but with a sparkle all their own. He adores other dogs, loves meeting new people, and greets everyone with a wagging tail, a joyful grin, and his signature move of offering his paw for a handshake. Kobe’s warmth and enthusiasm make him an incredible family dog. Kobe will be neutered on December 13th and microchipped so he will always have a way home if lost again. He is searching for a family that can offer a safely fenced yard, plenty of companionship, and a lifelong commitment to keeping him secure and loved. Kobe would be an excellent fit for a home with children and active people who are excited to share life with a joyful, devoted dog. This spunky girl may be shy at first but she’s sure to dive head first into your heart, sometimes quite literally. Before coming to the NSPCA, Kendall came from a rural shelter where she was the staff favorite! Unfortunately, being in a shelter that gets little to no foot traffic, plus being one of several hounds in their care for over a year, they thought it was best to allow us the chance to find the home she deserves. She is big on snuggles and also a big fan of running and playing around independently or with other doggy friends. The best of both worlds!

Meet Hank! Hank is a BIG puppy with a heart full of energy! As a true puppy, he’s playful, jumpy, and full of excitement. Hank loves to run and play with other dogs, especially when he can stretch his legs outside and burn off all that boundless energy. He is also a very social guy who loves meeting new people! However, because he’s still a young pup, Hank needs patience and consistent training to help him learn proper greetings and manage his excitement. With the right guidance, he’ll become a well-mannered and affectionate companion.Hank would do best in a home with a yard where he can play and burn off his energy. It’s also recommended that he go to a home without small children at least until he’s had more training to better manage his size and energy. With the right playtime, training, and plenty of love, we’re confident Hank will thrive in a home where he can grow into the amazing dog we know he’ll become!
