Story
This spunky girl may be shy at first but she’s sure to dive head first into your heart, sometimes quite literally. Before coming to the NSPCA, Kendall came from a rural shelter where she was the staff favorite! Unfortunately, being in a shelter that gets little to no foot traffic, plus being one of several hounds in their care for over a year, they thought it was best to allow us the chance to find the home she deserves. She is big on snuggles and also a big fan of running and playing around independently or with other doggy friends. The best of both worlds!

Story
Meet Hank! Hank is a BIG puppy with a heart full of energy! As a true puppy, he’s playful, jumpy, and full of excitement. Hank loves to run and play with other dogs, especially when he can stretch his legs outside and burn off all that boundless energy. He is also a very social guy who loves meeting new people! However, because he’s still a young pup, Hank needs patience and consistent training to help him learn proper greetings and manage his excitement. With the right guidance, he’ll become a well-mannered and affectionate companion.Hank would do best in a home with a yard where he can play and burn off his energy. It’s also recommended that he go to a home without small children at least until he’s had more training to better manage his size and energy. With the right playtime, training, and plenty of love, we’re confident Hank will thrive in a home where he can grow into the amazing dog we know he’ll become!

Meet Zuri! Our beautiful 4 year old  girl that is mixed with all sorts of gorgeous dog elements that include Husky mix  (55%) and a touch of Lab and Pit mix.  This crystal blue eyed girl has waited a long time to have her chance to be offered for adoption.  You see she was part of a cruelty case back in the past and was severely malnourished and was pregnant with babies.  All her pretty babies have been adopted but poor Zuri is still looking for the right and confident owner.  She is in foster care and is totally crate trained and housebroken. She is ready now for a wonderful new family to call her own .  This girl is a mature and settled 4years old, 58 pound spayed, UTD on vaccinations, HW- and ready for the good life with a family that will love and cherish her forever. Her beautiful blue eyes and open personality will make you love her instantly.  This girl loves to run and play in the yard and absolutely loves the water! She does good as your passenger in the car for pup cup runs and would do good in a home with older, dog savvy children that are 8 years and above. She has good leash manners and doing well with housebreaking.  Zuri just wants her chance to prove that she’s a great family member and cuddle up with you at night!  If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained, pretty girl that deserves the best life from her on out…please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 19, 2025, 1:48 pm

Story
az is one of those dogs that you could overlook if you just glanced at him.  But if you actually meet him and spend 5 minutes with him, then you see what a remarkable boy he is.   This 40 pounds Lab mix guy is 9-10 months old and he is looking for an exciting family to live with and spread his very special positive vibes and good will.  He is on the smaller side of a Lab and who knows what many other influences there are in his DNA.  What we do know is that he is a sweetheart of a dog who is so very intelligent and a ready student to learn.  He 'gets it' in life and is housebroken, crate trained and very inquisitive.  He manages to hang out with dogs of all sizes and ages with the greatest of ease.  Nothing unnerves this boy.   He is great with young children, adults, other dogs and even a cat.  He still has the puppy tendencies and gets the zoomies when he is excited and feeling his oats for the morning.  He does settle down ever so sweetly and can hang on the sofa or at your feet while you work.  He loves to cuddle and show you just how devoted and happy he is to be with you.  Kaz has a big heart ready for someone that will treasure his love.  If you are looking for a fun and active young teenage dog that will be a medium dog and no more than 50 pounds, yet BIG on personality, then write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Let us know where you live and a little something about yourself.  He is able to be an apartment dog if you are an active family, too.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 13, 2026, 6:14 pm

Story
This amazing puppy that has the beautiful golden smile and coat of a golden color as well, is called Gabriel.  Living his first 4 months of life in a 10X 10 outdoor kennel with his other 6 siblings, this boy never has had a chance to run and play and be loved on until August 15th.  The day his life changed and that of his 6 siblings, will be a special one for Critter Cavalry Rescue.   Their hard and cruel past is behind them and now a bright and shiny future is promised them as CCR starts posting all the wonderful girls and boys that are from that litter.  They are loving, some shyer than others, but all are hungry to be cuddled, played with and offered the chance to love their humans deeply and forever.   Having a yard to run and play in has been a first ever since 8/15.  Can you imagine the freedom and exhilaration that our boy Gabriel has been feeling?  He has a little foster girl to kiss and play with and other dogs and even some chickens in the backyard.  He has been neutered and shots started and dewormings under way.  The road ahead will be a breeze compared to his first 4 months.  Currently he weighs 25 pounds and is destined to be a 55 pound adult lovebug.  If you love his smile then you will love his heart even more.  Friendly and learning all the new things about this wonderful world of good food, a dog bed, chew toys and above all, humans who care about him.  What more could make a puppy happier?  Well all that is left to top these great changes is to have a family adopt him!!!!   Could that be you!?  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  We adopt locally in Nashville, TN area where he is fostered and we also offer transportation to the northeast to families and homes that want to give our dogs and cats a better life.  Just let us know where you live!  We can get our boy there and close! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 28, 2025, 12:33 pm

Story
Margo is the kind of dog who stops people in their tracks—beautiful, soft, soulful, and radiating that unmistakable Golden Retriever sweetness. She came from a backyard breeder as an 8-week-old puppy, advertised as a Goldendoodle, but as she grew, it became clear that her heart and her heritage lean almost entirely Golden. Born on 2/7/23 and now weighing about 50 pounds, she has matured into a graceful, gentle young girl who wants nothing more than to be loved. Her original family adored her and provided her with a safe, caring home, but unexpected personal challenges arose—difficult ones that prevented them from giving her the consistency, time, and attention she truly deserved. They made the painful, selfless decision to ask for help in finding her a new family, wanting Margo to live her best possible life. And what a gift this girl will be to her new home. Margo is sweetness personified. She is friendly with every dog she meets, respectful and calm around cats, and gentle enough to be trusted with young children. She needs to be in a home of no small dogs - she thinks they are playthings. Her temperament is exactly what people love about Golden Retrievers—steady, affectionate, intuitive, and endlessly kind. She greets new people with a soft smile and happy tail as if welcoming them into her world. Margo is still young and doesn’t have many commands under her belt, but she is a blank slate in the best possible way. She watches her people carefully, eager to understand what’s expected of her, and she responds beautifully to gentle guidance. With patience and routine, she will blossom into a perfectly mannered companion. A fenced yard would be ideal for her—she loves the freedom to run, sniff, and stretch those young, energetic legs. She hasn’t had nearly enough opportunities for outdoor play or structured exercise, so a family who values activity and time outside will help her thrive. After playtime, she’ll settle in beside you with that soft Golden warmth that makes every house feel more like home. Margo is the whole package: beauty, personality, intelligence, and a heart full of love. She is ready for the stability of a forever home where she won’t have to transition again—a place where she can grow up, bond deeply, and be cherished every day. If you’ve been dreaming of a young Golden mix with all the emotional intelligence and gentle spirit the breed is famous for, Margo could truly be your once-in-a-lifetime dog. She is hoping to find her new family just in time for the holiday season. To apply for this beautiful girl, emailccrnewengladn@gmail.com. Margo is ready for her fresh start. &#226&#156&#168PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 6, 2026, 4:28 pm
