Meet Duke!Duke came to the shelter after being surrendered by his owner, who could no longer safely care for him due to mobility challenges. Duke is a happy, affectionate dog who is eager to be with people and soak up attention. Once out of his kennel, he enjoys exploring and then happily settles in for cuddles—he’ll even climb right into your lap when invited.Duke’s owner says he does well with dogs, cats, and kids, and he is food- and treat-motivated. He takes treats gently and knows basic cues like “come” and “stop.” He is reported to be nearly house trained and is easy to handle overall. On leash, he can pull when excited and would benefit from continued leash-manners training.He enjoys time in the yard, cruises around confidently, and is calm and cooperative when handled. Duke is affectionate, gentle, and clearly thrives on human connection.Duke is estimated to be around 4–5 years old and would love a home that can provide guidance, activity, and plenty of affection. shy at first but will warm up. got along with fosters dogs. ignored the cats in the house. very cuddly, playful, and calm. randomly will get zoomies. loves to walk and cuddle. Is fully house trained. Did not need a crate. was fine being left alone. sleeps throughout the night. does pulls on the leash some when walking. loves car rides, very curious. shy around new people. he is a picky eater. 2/6/26 KFLOOD Foster notes state he gets along well with dogs but outside not in the home. Shane has done well with dogs here at the shelter. Could be fosters dogs weren’t a match. Shane is dog selective

Hi, I'm Mr. Tobias Pickles! Yes, I know my name is a bit silly! My friends and I are from a hoarding case with around 28 dogs living in a small pen outdoors. We were all competing for resources in such a small space that we were fighting each other often and many of us are covered in scars from our time living there. We will all need some help learning how to live in a proper house, how to potty outside, how to walk on a leash. We didn't have a whole lot of interaction with people, so some of us are a bit shy, but we all want so badly to trust and be loved. With just a little bit of time and patience in the right home, we will make excellent companions!
