Story
Meet Indy, the sweetest senior soul with the gentlest heart. Indy came to us through no fault of his own after a lifetime marked by change and uncertainty. At intake, he was noted to be extremely thin, though much of his past remains undocumented. What we do know is that after being passed between homes due to changing circumstances, those surrendering him made the compassionate decision to seek a safer, more stable future for him. Indy enjoys other dogs and is currently in a foster home with one. In his old age, he doesn’t seek out play the way he once might have, though he may gently pick up a toy now and then. What he truly treasures is being close—resting beside his companions and finding comfort in quiet, shared cuddles. Companionship and quiet moments are what makes him happiest. Medically, Indy has a thin body condition with no clear underlying cause. He has had multiple physical exams, bloodwork, and heartworm/tick-borne disease testing, all of which have been normal. He has had occasional episodes of decreased appetite and vomiting, though nothing chronic during his time with us. Due to his advanced age and unknown history, Indy is being placed as a hospice adoption. What Indy needs now is not answers—but love. A soft place to rest, loving humans who will cherish him, and the comfort of knowing he is finally safe. Can Indy spend his golden years with you?For St. Paddy`s day and throughout our March Madness special, we are waiving the fee for Indy! Apply today at: capeannanimalaid.org/dogapp

Story
My husband and I adopted Daisy at 13 weeks from an Adoption Farm n NH. She was originally from TN. She was paid for and came w/papers and everything She has a chip too We named her Daisy and she is a wonderful dog, and quick learner My husband quickly trained her to use the pads at home, drinks and eats appropriately from her bowls. Eats Blue Buffalo chicken& rice dog food that we get at PetSmart She is playful, loves to cuddle We cuddle w/her in the evenings while watching TV. When is time to sleep she has her own bed and stays there until daylight when we wake up. She uses her pads when needed to pee during the night We have not started to walk her outside because it has been snowing too much in our area, but she will required daily exercise as she grows up The best place for her would be a fam w lots of love to give and walk/exercise. We cannot keep her due to our age and busy schedule. We think she can benefit from a younger family. Feel free ask any questions

Story
Beautiful Clover was found stray in a known dog dumping area in rural Virginia. Clover is 2 years old and about 45 lbs. Her Virginia foster says she's a dainty, pretty little coonie; sweet and no trouble at all. She's very loving and friendly, doesn't seem to mind the cats either. She's making progress with housebreaking. She was a little timid but is quickly finding her confidence, loves other dogs and people. Clover will arrive March 28th. Story
We adopted Lady through the mspca. She is 5 years old. She is very happy when she meets new people and loves to play. She is a fox hound so I do not recommend unleashing her for walks and such, as she will follow her nose where ever a smell takes her. She is crate trained. She prefers stuffy toys over balls or ropes. She is trained to use a pad if we have to go out for a day without her, but she doesnt need it. Rehoming is do to myself needing back surgery, its not because of Lady.
