Story
Marley is a cuddle bug. She's a low-rider basset hound mix who's 3 years old and fixed. She adores her non-litter brother, dax. They are a bonded pair now. We adopted at 10 weeks old. They grew up with kids, cat and other dogs. They are great with people and listen to commands. They sleep together in their own bed at night or happy to cuddle with anyone. Recently divorced and I travel for work. It pains me to give them up but they deserve more attention and a yard and people to hang out with every day. Please take my babies together and love them like I do.

Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Hello there! I know what you're thinking: you see my bowtie and think 'Wow, this dog is very important. He must have a very serious occupation.' And you would be right. As of today, I am no longer Archie the dog. I am now Archibald, Attorney at Paw. I specialize in representing other dogs when they are the victims of terrible crimes, like humans not sharing their snacks, or being forced to take a baths, or not getting pup cups regularly. I take my new job very seriously. I may be small at 28 pounds, but my sense of justice is mighty! Now onto my qualifications. Did I go to law school? No. Did I pass the bar exam? Also no. Did I even go to obedience school? No again. But my foster pawrents say I'm smart and food motivated, so that's good enough I think. I'm good with adults and everyone loves me, so I'm sure I can use my charm and good looks to win anyone over - including judges and other lawyers. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with young kids, so I am looking for a courtroom that is adults and teenagers only! I also am good with other dogs, so I will relate well to my clients. I'm a young attorney at only 1 year old, but I am a very energetic pup and I feel like I can channel that energy into being the best lawyer ever! There's only one thing in the way of me being an attorney: I need somewhere to practice. My foster home said I could stay here until I found a new place, but I know I can't stay here forever. Maybe you have room in your heart and home for a dapper, energetic, ambitious little guy who loves bowties? If you are interested in adopting Archie, please submit an application on our website www.derryhumanesociety.com  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Guys, have you heard of these things called dog beds?! If you don't know, they're these super cool things that are so soft and comfy. I recently learned about them when I went to my foster home. They make sleeping so much easier - much better than sleeping outside. You see, before I came to my foster home, I spent the first 4 years of my life living outside in a yard. It was pretty lonely. I didn't have any doggy friends and my owners didn't pay much attention to me. I longed to be loved or even get some attention, but it never came. That is, until my owner left me at the shelter without a backwards glance. I thought my life was going to be over, literally! At least the people at the shelter were kind and loving, but it was no place for a dog like me to live, and I know I wasn't allowed to stay there forever. Luckily some very nice people took me and brought me into a foster home, and I can tell my life is starting looking up! Here's the thing: my foster parents love me very much, but I need to find a home of my own now. Could that be with you? Here's a little about me: - I love attention and being with humans! - I love snuggling up somewhere cozy! Couches are amazing, but I would definitely settle for a very fluffy dog bed! - I have 2 doggy friends in my foster home. One is about my size, and the other one is much taller than me! -I do like going outside and sniffing around the yard, but I don't want to live outside 24/7 again! But enough about me, I want to learn about you! You can tell me all about yourself by submitting an application on The Greater Derry Humane Society website. I hope to hear from you soon!
