Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.A year old male beagle border collie mixBarney is a sweet boy with the most beautiful bright, brilliant eyes and playful personality. He has been in foster care since he was a few weeks old and was left kennel by himself until now. He is the most appreciative house, pup ever! It didn’t take long before he found his way to sneak into bed with me. He does great with kids, cats and dogs. He does not bark at night, which is a very pleasant surprise. He has a bright and bubbly personality. Barney is about 30 lbs. Barney will make a wonderful house pup. He is house trained and has no issues at all. Barney is currently in foster care with Ozark Homeward Bound animal rescue in Harrison Arkansas. Do not let distance be a deterrent. There is a Facebook page where you can see videos of him to get to know him. The adoption fee does cover the transport to get him to locations where he is listed or near those locations.  https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DBi6Rp5j2/?mibextid=K35XfP   https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1EmkNRsgWr/?mibextid=K35XfP   https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1Aep1wSxaA/?mibextid=K35XfPNovember 28, 2024, 2:34 pm

Story
adoption donation : $699 weight 33 lbs  Age: 5 months as of 10/15       The Rosie puppies—Rosie, Roseann and Rosemary— are adorable, friendly and sweet puppies who were left at the end of the Wags driveway in a cardboard box along with a mama cat and her kittens. Sadly in Mississippi this is all too common.       But despite their sad beginning  the Rosies are happy and thriving. They are mixes, but appear to have some English foxhound, and perhaps black mouth cur in them, just perfect for a medium size family dog. They couldn’t be sweeter and are very mellow. They are full of kisses and wiggles and love to romp and play and then snuggle together for a puppy nap.    The  Rosie puppies have had vaccinations, but will be spayed when they are older. Wags will pay for the procedure at one of the clinics that we use in the northeast or reimburse adopters what we pay if they choose to use their own vet. The puppies are doing well house training, but they need a refresher when they adjust to a new home. We are adopting them individuals , while they do adore each other they will adjust apart  in a loving home.        Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. For more information on adopting any of the Rosies please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com    November 8, 2024, 7:52 am

Story
I ain't nothin' but a hound dog and you can find me howlin' all the time hoping for my forever home! I'm an outdoor enthusiast with a nose for adventure. If you're someone who loves to soak up the sun and breathe in the fresh air, then I'm your paw-fect companion for outdoor escapades. While I may enjoy the occasional afternoon nap under the shade of a tree, nothing gets my tail wagging quite like the promise of a nose-down walk, where I can immerse myself in the intricate world of scent work. I may seem a tad aloof at first, but offer me a tasty treat, and watch as our bond blossoms like a flower in spring. With a repertoire of tricks like sit, paw, and down, I'm trained and ready to go!Post Adoption Training Scholarship (PATS)At SAVE, we understand that the current economy presents challenges, and this impacts dog adoption rates. To ease the financial burden on adopters and help our adoptable dogs find their forever homes, we are excited to introduce the Post Adoption Training Scholarship (PATS) program. This initiative funds the first five training sessions with a qualified trainer for select medium and large breed dogs, identified in their adoption bios. For more information, please call the shelter director (Jack Griffin) and ask about the PATS program.Complete the online adoption application on our website. The shelter is open by appointment for approved adopters. We have appointments available daily except Mondays. We look forward to helping you find your furry best friend! Story
Meet sister and brother, Pixie and Potter! They are 3 1/2-month-old American Foxhound and Lab mixes! They now weigh 9-12 pounds, but we expect them to mature to around 50-55 pounds. Pixie wears a medium-length brown and black coat, while Potter wears a medium-length tri-colored coat. And just look at their big puppy eyes!!!They are both very playful and friendly pups that get along well with other dogs! Adopt Pixie or Potter and let them bring joy into your life! (ME, 11/7/24) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.November 26, 2024, 10:49 am
