Story
Meet Ms. Stevie! Stevie is an absolute love bug. She was dumped at a young age and we don’t know much beyond that. This means that most aspects of being someone’s dog are new to her and right now, new things make her nervous. When she first came to us she didn’t know how to eat, play, or even bark. She is learning and embracing so much every day she just needs someone to help her be brave! She’s the perfect sidekick to play in the yard or snuggle up on the couch. Stevie loves playing with other dogs and toys. Her only interest in cats is the possibility of more potential playmates. We are working on house training and walking on a leash. She’s 90% of the way to both and only requires a little patience (and lots of treats) to get her the rest of the way. Also how cute are the little spots on the bottom of her paws 🥹 Stevie is being brave every day! Maybe you should be brave and apply to adopt her 👀

Story
Junebug is a playful, loving Foxhound who loves to run and play with people and other dogs, and her family adores her — they're just expecting a new addition and want to find her a home that can give her the attention she deserves. Junebug has typical activity needs for a hound. She loves walking the neighborhood, sniffing out every detail along the way, and can comfortably join a 2–3 mile run — something she absolutely loves. She's energetic without being overwhelming, and does great at the dog park too. Junebug would thrive in a home with a yard and other dogs or people around to play with. She's house trained, understands basic commands (come, sit, stay, go to your spot), is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and has no medications or special dietary needs.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. INTERESTED IN MEETING OR ADOPTING Josie from Best Friend Pet Adoption rescue? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC.  This is always the first step which needs to be completed before meeting any Best Friend Pet Adoption dog.     FOSTER COMMENTS: Meet Josie — your future best friend and full-time source of joy! Josie is a happy-go-lucky, inquisitive pup with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. At five months old, she’s the kind of dog who wakes up excited for the day, ready to explore, play, and make you smile. Whether she’s romping around the yard or curiously investigating something new, Josie brings a fun, lighthearted energy wherever she goes. This sweet girl absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. She currently enjoys keeping up with her canine foster sibling and would be thrilled to have a buddy to wrestle, chase, and learn from. While she might be able to be an only dog, she’s never been without company, so a home where she has plenty of interaction—human or canine—would suit her best. Josie is a high-energy pup who would do best with a fenced yard where she can safely explore and burn off some of that puppy enthusiasm. She’s still learning her leash manners (those exciting smells are hard to resist!), but she’s making progress and will continue to improve with consistency and guidance. She’s about 95% housebroken and just needs a little supervision as she finishes learning. Josie isn’t fully crate trained yet—she currently sleeps cozied up with her humans—and she would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day. She’s used to having company and may not thrive if left alone for long hours. Josie currently lives with children, and she has also been around cats and is more curious than anything—no aggression, just a desire to say hello. This smart cookie already knows how to sit and is eager to learn more—especially if snacks are involved! Like many puppies, she’s currently teething and enjoys chewing, so she’ll need appropriate toys and guidance to help her learn what’s hers to gnaw on. Josie is mostly quiet, with just a little whining when she’s first left alone or letting you know it’s mealtime. Otherwise, she’s content, cheerful, and ready to be your loyal companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, energetic pup who will keep you laughing and shower you with love, Josie might just be your perfect match. With a little continued training and a lot of affection, she’s going to grow into an incredible lifelong friend.   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants ideally should live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore prefer applicants that live within an hours drive of Cary NC.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING JOSIE? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sweet Denim was adopted as a small puppy and unfortunately that situation did not work out. His adopter named him Gunter and he is probable 100% Foxhound as 2 of his adopted siblings had DNA tests. He is on the smaller side at a lean 35 pounds. His nose guides him and he loves the outdoors.  He would love an active family,  a yard to sniff and run in and maybe even a fur sibling.  If you would like to meet him please fill out an application on our website. You can also see what events he will be at in your area soon.   Past:  This sweet puppy was rescued along with it's 7 siblings. They are ready to start a new life! We will update the bio once the Foster learns more about their personality.  ********* The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.  All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age.  Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Lace — a sweet, affectionate puppy, estimated DOB of 12/17/25. She has a playful spirit and lots of love to give. She’s curious, smart, and loves being close to her people, whether that’s following you around the house, curling up nearby after playtime, or soaking up attention and affection. Lace currently has two foster dog siblings and absolutely loves to wrestle and play with them. She would likely do very well in a home with another playful dog who can help burn off some of that classic puppy energy. Lace deserves a home ready for all the joys (and occasional chaos) that come with puppyhood. With structure, continued socialization, and lots of love, she has the potential to become an amazing lifelong companion. The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. Story
Hi, I`m Melly! I`m a sweet, friendly boy with a playful spirit and a smile that`s just as big as my personality. My favorite thing in the world is chasing tennis balls! I could spend hours running after them! Treats are okay, but I`d much rather have another throw. I already know how to sit, enjoy spending time with people, and love making new friends. If you`re looking for a happy, fun-loving companion who will brighten your days with his goofy charm, I`d love the chance to meet you!
