Story
Tootsie is a fun-loving dog that was found on the side of the road with her litter. She was rescued, and then we adopted her after the initial shots were taken. We have trained her to sit and wait. She loves to play fetch, chase squirrels, and go on walks. She is a little over one year old on April 12. She is also crate trained and can stay in her crate up to 8 hours without any issues. We are hoping she goes to a home with a yard, as she is very fast and loves to play outside the most. Tootsie is respectful with kids but since she has a lot of energy, she can get excited and jump up. We really love her and wish we could keep her, but unfortunately, our landlord has changed her mind and now will not let us.

Josie is a happy-go-lucky, inquisitive pup with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. She’s the kind of dog who wakes up excited for the day, ready to explore, play, and make you smile. Whether she’s romping around the yard or curiously investigating something new, Josie brings a fun, lighthearted energy wherever she goes. This sweet girl absolutely   loves   other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. She currently enjoys keeping up with her two Dalmatian foster siblings and would be thrilled to have a buddy to wrestle, chase, and learn from. While she might be able to be an only dog, she’s never been without company, so a home where she has plenty of interaction—human or canine—would suit her best. Josie is a high-energy pup who would do best with a fenced yard where she can safely explore and burn off some of that puppy enthusiasm. She’s still learning her leash manners (those exciting smells are hard to resist!), but she’s making progress and will continue to improve with consistency and guidance. She’s about 95% housebroken and just needs a little supervision as she finishes learning. Josie isn’t fully crate trained yet—she currently sleeps cozied up with her humans—and she would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day. She’s used to having company and may not thrive if left alone for long hours. Josie hasn’t officially lived with kids yet, but she adores people and has a friendly, outgoing nature that suggests she’ll do well with respectful children. She’s also been around cats and is more curious than anything—no aggression, just a desire to say hello (even if the cats aren’t quite as enthusiastic!). This smart cookie already knows how to sit and is eager to learn more—especially if snacks are involved! Like many puppies, she’s currently teething and enjoys chewing, so she’ll need appropriate toys and guidance to help her learn what’s hers to gnaw on. Josie is mostly quiet, with just a little whining when she’s first left alone or letting you know it’s mealtime. Otherwise, she’s content, cheerful, and ready to be your loyal companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, energetic pup who will keep you laughing and shower you with love, Josie might just be your perfect match. With a little continued training and a lot of affection, she’s going to grow into an incredible lifelong friend.   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants ideally should live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore prefer applicants that live within an hours drive of Cary NC.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING JOSIE? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Lace — a sweet, affectionate puppy, estimated DOB of 12/17/25. She has a playful spirit and lots of love to give. She’s curious, smart, and loves being close to her people, whether that’s following you around the house, curling up nearby after playtime, or soaking up attention and affection. Lace currently has two foster dog siblings and absolutely loves to wrestle and play with them. She would likely do very well in a home with another playful dog who can help burn off some of that classic puppy energy. Lace deserves a home ready for all the joys (and occasional chaos) that come with puppyhood. With structure, continued socialization, and lots of love, she has the potential to become an amazing lifelong companion. The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. INTERESTED IN MEETING OR ADOPTING Bo from Best Friend Pet Adoption rescue? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC.  This is always the first step which needs to be completed before meeting any Best Friend Pet Adoption dog.     FOSTER COMMENTS: Meet Bo — your future best friend wrapped up in one adorable, wiggly, tail-wagging package. Bo is the kind of puppy who makes every day feel a little brighter. With his playful spirit and love for cuddles, he’s equal parts entertainer and snuggle buddy. One minute he’s happily bouncing around with a toy, the next he’s curled up beside you, soaking up all the love he can get. He’s incredibly sweet, full of personality, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. As a young pup, Bo is still learning the ropes of the world. He’s currently working on crate training and housebreaking, and like any baby, he’ll need a family committed to helping him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. The good news? He’s eager, social, and loves people, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. Bo is friendly with new people and has already shown he does well with other dogs. He’s even been around a baby and handled it like a champ. He may be a little vocal right now, but that’s just part of his puppy charm—he’s figuring out how to “use his voice,” and with guidance, he’ll learn when it’s time to chat and when it’s time to relax. Bo will thrive with a family who’s ready to include him in daily life, continue his training, give him exercise, playtime and plenty of love, attention and belly rubs.  He can be happy as an only dog soaking up all your attention or with a canine sibling to play with. If you’re looking for a puppy who is affectionate, playful, and absolutely irresistible, Bo is your guy. He’s not just cute—he’s the kind of dog who will grow up to be a loyal, loving companion for years to come. All he needs now is a family to call his own. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING BO ? Please feel free to reach out for more details, pictures, videos at: 832.729.8108Weiss is a hound mix (mostly American Foxhound + Beagle). He can be pretty chill , but is always down for a walk. 🚶‍♂️He's been solid with toddlers—patient through all the chaos and grabby hands. 👶 With two babies in the house now, it's tough to give him the attention and engagement time he deserves.Best fit: someone active who can do daily walks and handle him on leash. Good with kids 👨‍👩‍👧 and other dogs. 🐶
