Story

(DOB 04/25/2023) Stuckey is a handsome boy with the perfect mix of chill, goofy, and cuddly! He’s usually happy lounging by your side, soaking up attention and getting the much "required" ear scratches, but every now and then his inner athlete comes out for a round of zoomies and hound-style animal acrobatics. He’s a total lovebug who adores people, has no stranger danger, and is always ready for affection. Stuckey is playful, happy, gentle, and social with people, kids, and other dogs. He’s a true snuggler and occasional lap dog who loves being petted and soaking up attention. He enjoys squeaker, chew, and stuffed toys and is a great sharer. He’s curious, confident, food- and treat-motivated, and easily redirected, with just enough clumsy, mischievous hound personality to keep things entertaining! He’s crate trained, loves car rides and road trips, and enjoys getting outside to run and romp. A fenced yard is preferred but not required; a 4–5 ft fence would work great. He’s also highly treat-motivated and may occasionally practice his counter-surfing skills when snacks are within reach; just one of the goofy things that makes him Stuckey! If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing, affectionate companion with a silly side and plenty of love to give, Stuckey is ready to be your new best friend. As part of Stuckey’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Stuckey, you can complete an application online for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2846355##

Story

Meet Timmy! At 10 months old and 52 pounds, Timmy is a handsome hound mix with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life. He’s a silly, social, people-pleasing young man who is happiest when he has something fun to do and someone to share it with. Timmy is wonderfully well-mannered when meeting both people and other dogs, and he has a natural talent for making friends. He’s also quite the proud student; ask him to sit, and he’ll happily comply, as though he’s been waiting his whole life for someone to give him that assignment. He’s eager to learn and seems genuinely delighted whenever he gets the chance to show off his skills. It is no secret that he would do best in an active household with both people and dogs, but Timmy has not been tested around cats or other small animals, so his compatibility with them is unknown. If you’re looking for a fun-loving young dog with an adaptable personality, a willingness to learn, and a talent for turning everyday life into something a little more entertaining, you might have just met your match.

Story

Harris is 3 years old and 45 pounds. He is fully house trained and does not require a crate. He is fine on a leash, but is very shy in public, so he would need plenty of time to get used to walking in public. He is shy when meeting new people, but once he warms up to you, he is so sweet and loving. Totally worth the extra time needed. He loves other dogs, especially playing tug of war with the other dogs. He is great with kids and will make a great family dog. He will need a fenced yard as he will take a while to get used to walking on a leash due to his fear. Give this pup some time, and he will make such a perfect addition to your family. Apply to adopt, foster, volunteer, or donate to our nonprofit at www.lovemuttsrescue.org
