Story
Rolf is a 5 year old American Foxhound. He's obsessed with: food, walks and pets. Rolf is a good fit for you if you have a fenced-in yard, indoor lounging space and time for regular walks. With 4 children under 5 jumping around our small house, we've sadly realized we can't give him the space and attention he deserves. He's very mellow for his breed, only barking to be let inside. He was formerly a stray hunting dog so he thrives on structured expectations. He respects any rule that is consistently upheld. Treat him like it's his job to be well-behaved and he'll be happy to comply. Only positive reinforcement works on him. Because of his breed, he's too resolute to be deterred by negative reinforcement. He respects fences, doesn't scratch at doors and doesn't counter-surf (but loves to be a Roomba). I feed him on a strict timer and make him sit/stay for his food. This structure curbs his food-insecurity and limits begging for food outside of meal times.

Stella is a five year old american fox hound. My family and I adopted her in june of 2025. She is a sweet and caring dog Who has definite potential to become a service animal or an emotional support animal. Her instinct to comfort Is amazing. She knows before I do that i'm getting too stressed out. Stella is a hound in the fact that she loves to run!!! She needs a lot of space to run, and explore. She does not do well with small dogs, and she may take a little bit to find her place in a pack of dogs. But when she finds her place she is amazing.
