Story
Boo was saved by SSR as a puppy, scavenging for food with a pack of stray dogs. There is no boo-hooing when it comes to Boo, but she wants you to know she is being the bestest girl and is patiently waiting for her forever family. Boo is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and heartworm negative. She is great on the leash and so smart! She knows basic commands, is housebroken, and crate trained. Boo is friendly to all humans of all sizes. She loves dogs of all sizes too. Not certain about cats yet, but she's a lover of all. Boo is the perfect size to cuddle and she is a playful gentle gal. Boo is being fostered in MD. Story
https://foha.org/pet/nolan/ Nobody knows love, nose rubs, affection and nonstop fun like Nolan. Never in your wildest dreams will you come across a never-ending bundle of happiness and kindness like Nolan. I am a dog of many nodes of joy. I prefer to be very active, as my energy knows no bounds. Long walks, big yards, non-stop tug of war are the things that I smile most for. Leash walking is no problem for me, but like my hound dog roots I prefer to set the pace and direction. Calm and quiet are my preferred settings so I would do best in a home nuzzled in a quiet neighborhood or on a serene block. A few Nolan "no-no's are other pets or children. I need to be in a house with an experienced owner who can give me their undivided attention. I do have a strong startle reflex so I should not be allowed on the furniture with you. I would like my own bed to the side where I am safe and sound. Take the time to get to know me, be patient with me as we warm up to each other, and I will show you a dog who will never leave your side and who will always be there for you. Nolan is sponsored by Carolyn Landry: Stacey Gimbert - Thank you for all you do for those who can't help themselves. You are blessing to them and to me. Story
Barney is an affectionate, sweet boy. Probably not a year old and loves to play. He has that wonderful hound voice but he's not obsessive with it. He does well with other dogs, he's not familiar with cats but plays to hard with chickens. He's very smart and has learned a few basic commands. He would be a loyal companion for a little love. For more information on Barney and our adoption process please enclose your phone number with your inquiry or call Jacki at 941-587-4612.  May 2, 2024, 11:54 pm

Story
The handsomest, sweetest boy in the whole world.... TWEEDLEDUM!Tweedledum originally arrived at the shelter as a stray. Tweedledum loves to play ball, loves to talk, and has an extreme wiggle butt! He is good with dogs, and appears to be housebroken. We think Tweedledum would do best in an active household with dog and human siblings.

Story
Willow was rescued from hurricane Irma. She was born July 8, 2017 and is the runt of her litter. All her brothers and sisters are twice the size. She is a sweet girl, but she hasn’t been happy with a child in the house. Unfortunately our toddler was injured by a nip and we’ve made the hard decision to rehome her. Throughout her life she has been hesitant around young children. She has a history of nipping/injuring adults as well, mostly men she is unfamiliar with. She is slightly overweight and has slowed down this past year, with what the vet believes to be a (treatable) thyroid issue. Willow is incredibly sweet and loyal and loves to cuddle on the couch. She would be an amazing addition to a family that is right for her. For the safety of Willow and others, her owners should be child-free, mindful of her bite history, and willing to treat her endocrine condition. We realize this may be a unicorn situation, and appreciate you spreading the word for our girl.

Story
A 10-month-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, Journee’s name came from the English word for “journey,” or a trip of some kind. This name suits her well because her life so far has been a journey, the destination being a loving forever home. Journee’s foster saw her in the kill shelter, pulled her out, and brought her home and into rescue. She was 5 months old then, about 10 months old now, and in the 5 months since her rescue, she has grown almost to her full size of 55 pounds. Her short coat is tricolor, but mostly white, and her eyes big and brown and hopeful. She loves children, other dogs, and even cats. Being adopted would mean the end of her journey because she would have found you WAITING FOR HER at home. (TN,7/30/24) (REVISED 12/10/23)  **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption Fee/Transport Fee: $250.00  We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  May 8, 2024, 5:04 pm
