Story
Buttermilk is a girl who loves to smile! She’s a mix of Beagle and Foxhound who is 3 years old, weighs 40 to 50 pounds, and is the mom of our 6 puppy Beagle mixes. She’s a great mama dog and she’s so proud of her babies that no wonder she smiles so broadly! So, let’s not forget her when deciding to adopt. Often families go straight for the puppies when their mom is a superb dog, too! (posted 8/18/26, ME) ' 'Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $170.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **September 13, 2026, 4:25 pm

https://foha.org/pet/nolan/ Nobody knows love, nose rubs, affection and nonstop fun like Nolan. Never in your wildest dreams will you come across a never-ending bundle of happiness and kindness like Nolan. I am a dog of many nodes of joy. I prefer to be very active, as my energy knows no bounds. Long walks, big yards, non-stop tug of war are the things that I smile most for. Leash walking is no problem for me, but like my hound dog roots I prefer to set the pace and direction. Calm and quiet are my preferred settings so I would do best in a home nuzzled in a quiet neighborhood or on a serene block. A few Nolan "no-no's are other pets or children. I need to be in a house with an experienced owner who can give me their undivided attention. I do have a strong startle reflex so I should not be allowed on the furniture with you. I would like my own bed to the side where I am safe and sound. Take the time to get to know me, be patient with me as we warm up to each other, and I will show you a dog who will never leave your side and who will always be there for you. Nolan is sponsored by Carolyn Landry: Stacey Gimbert - Thank you for all you do for those who can't help themselves. You are blessing to them and to me. Story
Current Location: York, PA Meet Arkansas! At just 8 months old, Arkansas is the total package. This handsome young pup has an easygoing personality that surprises everyone who meets him. Calm, affectionate, and always happy to be with his people, he is the kind of dog who fits naturally into family life. Arkansas is a true love bug. He greets everyone like an old friend and has never met a belly rub he didn't like. If you stop to say hello, don't be surprised if he rolls right over and politely requests a few scratches before continuing on his way. He is a wonderful companion whether you're heading out for an adventure or enjoying a quiet evening at home. Arkansas rides beautifully in the car, walks nicely on leash, is house trained, and sleeps comfortably in his crate. He enjoys being close to his people and is happiest simply spending time together. Although he still has all the fun and curiosity of a young dog, Arkansas has a gentle, relaxed nature that makes him easy to live with. He is eager to please, affectionate, and always ready to share his big heart. Arkansas is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and current on all preventatives. He is ready to pack his bags and begin the next chapter with a family who will love him as much as he will love them. If you have been searching for a loyal best friend with a sweet soul and an even sweeter smile, Arkansas is waiting to meet you.

Story
This lovely girl’s name is Dot. At 4 years old she weighs only 20-25 pounds which is a nice weight for a mix of Terrier and Basset Hound. Although she may be a bit shy at first, it isn’t long before this sweetheart relaxes into her loving temperament of friendliness with other dogs as well as people, of course! A low rider with a brindle and white coat, she’s a real cutie pie, too!
