Story
Franks is barely about to turn 1. He is just a baby but he needs some serious direction and training in life. He’s full of energy and is easily triggered by other dogs. He needs to be the only dog in the home for now. He is super smart and has so much potential. With the right family and experienced owner we have really high hopes for him. He’s a really cool guy who loves playing fetch, he loves his people and has meshed well with the volunteer team. He loves water and walks. Story
Lavender and her sister were surrendered to us in pretty poor condition but have received tons of treatment since being with us, and we have already seen drastic improvements. She needs an easy-going atmosphere, with other easy going dogs, she likes lounging in the sun and going for walks, but really just looking for a lap to cuddle in. She is fixed, fully vaccinated. microchipped, has had vet checks, dentals and her ears are looking much better, but could need additional flushes or meds down the line. • if you have any questions or are interested in meeting one of them TEXT 661-839-2200. We are located in southern California (Antelope Valley ) If you are serious about adopting it is important that you text us. We are unable to keep up with comments and questions across all of the social media platforms that we utilize. You can find our adoption process and application listed on our website at communityeffortanimalrescue.com. * CE Animal Rescue is a volunteer based nonprofit organization, we are a licensed rescue and no k*ll sanctuary. We operate in the Antelope Valley where our local county run animal shelters take in 5 times more dogs than than all the LA county shelters combined, they are over crowded and under funded. We are surrounded by rural desert and our abandoned and lost dog and cat population is extremely high. All of these dogs in this video and at our facility have already been rescued, and are SAFE until adopted

Story
Purebred Miniature Dark Chocolate Brindle French Bulldog female. The adoption fee will include spay, all vaccinations, deworming, health check, microchip, and teeth cleaning. We already have almost $1000 invested in her vet bills, plus vaccinations, deworming, food, and microchipping paid separately. She was a breeder dog that someone dumped after taking her puppies (to sell). Hazel came in a month ago and was very skinny. She is very sweet and follows you everywhere. Loves sleeping on a big dog bed. Gets along with cats, dogs of all sizes, and a potbelly pig. She is not a big snorer or gassy like so many Frenchies are. 3/26/24 yesterday she was spayed and dental work done. I have all medical records - spay certificate, rabies certificate, our animal records, which 13 teeth were extracted and which ones remain, microchip tag and numbers.

Story
Rebel has a wild story, and if you can hang in there while I tell you, I promise you will fall in love with this dog.  In early September 2023 I was contacted from someone in Bakersfield regarding a 5 year old frenchie being given away for free on craigslist. She said she could house the dog until we got transport if we wanted to take her in. When the owner gave her over to us, the said they just dind't want her anymore, but otherwise she was fine. When Rebel got to foster, we started to notice she would have major GI upset every few weeks. After a vet visit and an xray, we found out she had a BOUNCEY BALL in her stomach. So, the only open was to do surgery to remove this ball. As she was being carried out to the car post surgery, the vet tech said "has her neck always been crooked?" (which it hadn't) and proceeded to tell me to "keep an eye on that". A week later we were back in the vet because Rebel was in excruciating pain and could hardly move. They prescribed pain meds and sent us home. That lasted 4 weeks, which then landed Rebel at Metropolitian Animal Specialty Hospital Neurology department to get more answers. After an MRI and CT Scan, we found Rebel had herniated a disk in her neck. We decided to try some different medications and crate rest, rather than the massive highly risky surgery. During her crate rest, we saw her completely fall apart. There was talk of quality of life, and Rebels outlook seemed bleek. Thats when I decided, 4 months post injury, that I was going to try a more natural route. Rebel started going to massage, hydrotherapy, chiropractic etc. and within a month was running. I can't even begin to tell you the relief it was to see her run again. She was finally able to be a dog; chase balls, jump around. Her huge goofy smile was back, and it hasn't left.  Rebel is the most resilent dog. She loves deeply and wants to always be next to or on top of her person. She is good on walks, and adores new adventures. Shes crate trained and house trained. She is good around dogs big and small but can be a little possessive of her balls. Shes been around kids of all ages but would be best with older kids as she can be a rough player.  Rebel is marked special needs, but that is just because of her past injury. Its important to understand that she could herniate again. She should have a family that will keep her from being to rowdy and wild, though sometimes she wants to get crazy zoomies.  Please consider this incredibly special dog as your forever family member.  Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation.
