After some vet visits, TLC and good food, she's gained weight and has built SO much confidence.   This girl is super sweet, but needs an adopter willing to work with her on a few issues. She's great with people and mostly just loves to cuddle on your lap and follow you around, but she can be protective of her person. She is showing signs of resource guarding so that affection is directed only to her, but that can make her snappy towards other dogs who are also seeking attention from the same person. She is also starting to become reactive on leash towards other dogs as well, but does well off leash.   Because of this, we are looking for a home with no other dogs and adopters that are willing to get training and work with her on her issues so that she can live her happiest life. Toby is irresistible. We think he is a Pitbull/French bulldog mix. The vet thinks he is about 4 years. Toby loves to be involved in everything you are doing and loves to play with other dogs. Toby loves life. Drawbacks are that upon initially meeting a new dog, he can be aggressive. Once Toby becomes familiar with a dog, he is ok. Toby likes toys and likes to chew so he should get a lot of exercise. He needs to be house trained. As you can see, Toby needs some training but his personality far exceeds any disadvantage.  Toby was very recently neutered so his rudeness upon meeting a new dog may subside some.  He is fostered in a home with several other dogs and has his besties in the pack.   He is about 23 lbs or so.  Pretty small! LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT FOSTER/ADOPTER! Bailey holds a special place in our heart at Jelly's Place. She is our office dog, and is very devoted to her "people". She is charming, quirky, VERY smart, and once she loves and trusts you she is a loyal girl. We just adore her and know we will find just the right home for her. Bailey was an owner surrender who came to us with some psychological trauma. We suspect she was used for breeding and not treated very well. In her time with us she has gone from being frightened and unapproachable, to a love bug who wants affection (on her terms), treats, and silly playtime with her toys. Note: Bailey also has skin allergies (we tested her) and that involves some medicated baths and occasional anti itching meds. Bailey needs consistency, and loves her routine. She does great on a leash and would benefit from daily walks. She is a very easy companion animal, and would be a good fit with a family who doesn't need an active dog. The ideal home for Bailey would be with a family who has experience with the Frenchie breed and their special personality. A family without kids would be best, she is a one or two person dog. Once you get past her initial gruff exterior, and Bailey knows you are her person she will melt your heart, and will love you with all of her heart.
