Here's what his foster has to say: Biggie is all about giving big love! He is the happiest boy when he is by your side and even happier in your lap. We dont have any children in our home so I cant confirm whether he is good with them but he has been amazing with adults and teenagers. Biggie is deaf, which makes him very attentive and he is quick to learn new visual commands. He is eager to be a good boy and curious about understanding the world around him. Hes great on a leash and is good for short walks. His favorite past time is being near his humans while taking naps at home or in the car and will thrive in a home where he gets to be the only dog and gets a lot of time and attention with his people! Mona was rescued from a tragic and traumatic backyard breeder situation and spent a year at the SPCA before coming to Wonder Dog! She's shown us that once comfortable and has her own space, she is affectionate with humans and likes to play with other dogs. She has occasional pain flare ups that are treated with pain meds and rest. She is currently settling in with her foster and we are learning more about her. Cookie has been thriving in her foster home this past year and is a sweet and affectionate little lady! Meet your new snuggle buddy. Smokey is about 3 years old, but he's got the face of your favorite grandpa. Despite his burly appearance, he has a delicate constitution. He's on the mend from a bout of pneumonia, but he hasn't let that stop him from being the sweetest, goodest boy. He is very human-centered and will happily hang with you on the couch, though he's also fine on his own if you need to work or have a life. His fur is a gorgeous smokey color (duh!) and soooooo soft. He's also game for a good wrestling match with a doggie companion if you have one (see his videos), and he is unexpectedly energetic on walks. Please contact that rescue directly at 530-304-7629 Hearts and Paws Rescue has this to say about this happy fellow:'Subway, who likely is about 5 years old, was on the euthanasia list at the Yolo County Shelter due to kennel reactivity and 'a dislike of dogs.' Once Subway came to the farm, it was clear that he was no couch potato and is actually a super play dog to all dogs, big and small. He LOVES all people. He is super social and friendly, wanting to meet everyone he sees. He has a great recall and is great on a leash. 'What is he?? That is anyone's guess, but the basset in him is clear. He isn't chunky; he is just big boned. Subway especially loves big friendly dogs and he is quick to play and just as quick to poop out after play. He is very comforatble and appropriate being left for long peridos of time, expecially if he has a playmate or a large enclosure of his own. He is great in the house, sleeps soundly and he is housetrained. He is very bonded with my son and likes big men best. 'Subway is obsessed with cats, so no cats for Subway. He is great around horses. For Subway, the bigger, the kinder and gentler, and the more exercise he gets, the better he becomes. He needs and desires lots of outside time and another okay dog in his life is ideal. He would make a great compaion dog to a breed like the Belgian Malinois or herding dog who can outrun and outplay him. He is really good with puppies and likes male puppies.
