He is full of personality and has a gentle, social nature that makes him a favorite wherever he goes. Whether he is out for a walk, snuggling on the couch, or playing with his favorite squeaky toy, King is always eager to be part of the action. He gets along well with other dogs and has been especially gentle with smaller dogs. He loves to run under the legs and stomach of bigger dogs. King lived peacefully with a cat in his southern foster home and has shown no interest in chasing. He adores children and patiently soaks up all the attention they offer, always returning their affection with wiggles, tail wags, and face kisses.King is crate trained and is comfortable being crated during the work day. He is house trained and does well on a consistent schedule. King walks happily on leash and enjoys daily strolls where he can take in the world around him. He is food motivated and eager to please, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience.King is looking for a home that is willing to continue to slowly build up his stamina and exercise. He will need to be restricted from using any stairs, but if your home has stairs it is easy to gate them off and carry him up and down stairs like the prince that he is.This sweet and snuggly companion is ready to bring warmth and joy to a loving home. Could King be the perfect fit for your family? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Meet Nina Nina is a 3-year-old French Bulldog with a heart as big as her personality. Though her rear legs are paralyzed from a past injury, Nina doesn’t let any of that slow her down—or dampen her spirit one bit. She’s a happy, friendly little potato who adores affection and loves getting attention from people. She is low energy but still playful. Nina is perfectly content lounging by your side, chewing on her favorite toys, or entertaining herself with squeaky fun. She’s also remarkably quiet but carries herself with the confidence of a much bigger dog. Nina enjoys meeting and playing with dogs of all sizes and does great on short strolls using her wheelchair, which lets her explore the world in her own way. She’s sweet, social, and full of joy despite her challenges. Because Nina can get a bit excited and may mouth during play, she’s best suited for a home without small children. With a patient, understanding family who can meet her special needs, Nina will truly flourish and repay that love with endless devotion. If you’re looking for a gentle soul with resilience, charm, and a whole lot of love to give, Nina may just be your perfect match  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. February 4, 2026, 7:03 am

Story
Meet Daisy — a tiny heart with a big love for friends Adoption Fee: $549 Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Daisy is an adorable little French Bulldog mix who’s ready to find her forever home. She was found dumped in the middle of nowhere with two other dogs who didn’t even look like her—but thankfully all three were rescued and brought to safety. Now Daisy’s story gets a happy new chapter. Daisy is about 2 years old and a petite 13 pounds. She’s a shy girl at first, but her confidence blossoms when she’s around other dogs. In fact, her best friend is Bluey—a 60-pound, 2-year-old pup you’ll spot in the video. They’re the definition of an odd couple, and they absolutely adore each other. Having another friendly dog in the home would be a huge plus for Daisy. She’s currently using pee pads and doing well with them. Daisy lives in a foster home with dogs, cats, and kids, and she’s been wonderful with everyone. She’s gentle, quiet, and sweet, and once she feels safe, her charming little personality really shines. Daisy is perfect for someone who understands that shy dogs just need patience, love, and maybe a furry friend to help show them the way. If you’re looking for a small, sweet companion with a soft soul and a big heart, Daisy might just be your girl. Apply to adopt Daisy and help her write the happy ending she deserves. Story
Nova is a 35lb adult (5yr-ish) French bulldog mix. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate and would love to find a forever home. She is still working on her housetraining (great with #1, still working on #2). She walks perfectly on a leash and adores snuggles and couch naps. She loves to show her excitement by wagging her whole body! She came into the rescue with a number of health issues - like most Frenchies - and needs an adopter who understands the financial committments of owning this wonderful, but expensive breed. She had a corneal ulcer (being treated with eye medication), a UTI (treated), unaltered (we fixed her), and with heartworms (she's on the slow kill treatment). Despite all of that, her spirit is amazing - full of love and happiness!! Nova is located in Houston TX and will only be transported upon completed adoption. Her adoption fee is $400. Inquiries will not be responded to unless a completed application has been sent. You can fill out an application at www.recycleddogsrescue.org. You must fill out all of the blanks in the application - put "n/a" if one question is not applicable to you.
