Our adorable wheelchair pup, Jax, is still searching for his forever home!Jax has settled into a wonderful foster home, where he enjoys snuggling and hopping around the room with his doggy foster brother, Dice, and being doted on by his foster family. But, our sweetest boy is still searching for a home of his own. Please share for Jax, who is sure to bring smiles and a special brightness to the right home! Jax is a 2-year-old Frenchie / shih tzu who became paralyzed last summer after injuring himself jumping over a gate. He had disc surgery but didn't fully recover. While the sad news is that Jax does not have full mobility, the amazing news is that he can zoom around adorably on wheels and can go to the bathroom on his own! Jax has some movement in his back legs and can do some spinal walking / drag himself. He is aware when he has to go potty and is working on his housebreaking. He, of course, comes with his own doggy wheelchair! The best news is that Jax is a happy, energetic and adorable little guy at 22 pounds. Meet Pablo!This sweet senior Frenchie was sadly surrendered as his owner could no longer care for his ongoing medical needs. Common to this breed, he is a high maintenance little man with some ongoing chronic skin allergies and ear infections. He will need longterm treatments and management including regular vet visits, medicated baths and prescription diet at home, and someone who will stay on top of his flare ups to help keep him feeling happy and healthy. He did have advanced glaucoma in one of his eyes that was painful, so needed surgery to remove it to keep him comfortable. Fortunately his other eye was not affected at this time and he still has normal vision in it, but will need to be watched closely for changes. Despite his health challenges, Pablo is a happy friendly boy, has been getting along well with other dogs and all the people he's met at the shelter and is a fun active snorty guy sure to charm anyone who love the breed. Lucas is a social butterfly, adoring both dogs and cats alike, and he eagerly welcomes interactions with people of all ages. Personality: Lucas's zest for life is contagious. He delights in car rides, leisurely walks, and indulgent naps. Tug-of-war is his favorite game, and he's always up for a round. Affectionate and sociable, Lucas showers everyone he meets with love and is overjoyed by belly rubs and ear scratches. After a burst of energy-filled zoomies, he happily settles down for a cozy nap, ready to recharge for his next adventure. Kids: 10+ Dogs: Yes! He would love to have a doggy sibling in his home! Cats: Yes! Crate Trained: He will bark for 10 minutes but then settles down and does well House Trained: Yes!
