Story
Chewy was saved after a good Samaritan saw him being mistreated. He is a sweet boy, that is good with other dogs. He is still a bit nervous at times so only an adult home or older children that know when he needs his space . He's a very loving boy despite his rough start!March 11, 2026, 2:57 pm

Story
Our rather serious looking boy Henry Is a charming 5 year old Frenchie who is approximately 25 pounds and a truly playful little 'clown' with surprisingly high bursts of energy. He has a sharp and brilliant mind that is highly motivated by treats and playtime. This boy is a true lover boy that is a great cuddler.  His favorite pasttime is to relax next to his human on the couch and zone as everyone destressed from the day.  He is fully crate trained and enjoys sleeping in his crate on his special dog bed at night or next to his humans.  Henry does like to play with other dogs.  In fact he enjoys their company and being a part of a pack of dogs.  Our only downside about Henry is that he needs to be fed separately from the other dogs.  Often just being fed in his crate and making sure all other dogs have eaten before letting him out is all you need to do to avoid any food possessiveness.  He is fine with people around his food but he thinks all other dogs MUST be wanting to get to his food....even if they don't.  If there are other dogs in the home the new adopter just needs to monitor dinnertime. Otherwise, he can definitely thrive in a household with other animals and with someone who is patience and willing to work with him during dinnertime.  Frenchie are smart and strong-willed dogs.  They are not for softie owners or they will get run over by a dog that wants to control you.  He is good with following commands and if you are a leader then he will be the best dog.  The commands he knows are stop, sit, wait, outside and go to your crate.  Our Henry is a happy boy despite some instability the past 5 years.    He doesn't have very much leash experience and you will have to work on that which is not hard to do.  With daily practice he will get there.  Henry has no emotional issues or 'damage' to his soul. He just needs a person to call his own forever and ever.  Could that be you!?   Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    He is currently fostered in Tennessee and can ride up on the certified animal transport van on March 20th to the northeastern region.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 11, 2026, 10:20 pm

Story
*Name: Daisy Mae *Age: 3 year old *Current Weight: 25 lbs *Rescued from: Texas *Adoption fee: $475  Meet Daisy Daisy is a very special girl with an even more special spirit. This sweet pup may be paralyzed, but she hasn’t let that stop her from enjoying life and soaking up love from everyone she meets. Daisy has a gentle, kind personality and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She truly enjoys their company and would be happy to share her home with a canine friend. Because of her paralysis, Daisy will need a dedicated and patient family who is willing to help her continue to thrive. She may benefit from rehabilitation and strengthening exercises, which could help improve her mobility and overall quality of life. With the right support, love, and care, Daisy has so much potential to keep making progress. Despite the challenges she’s faced, Daisy remains a loving and trusting dog who simply wants to be part of a family. She’s looking for a compassionate adopter who sees her not for her limitations, but for the wonderful dog she is. If you believe that every dog deserves a chance—and that love is worth a little extra effort—Daisy just might be your girl. She’s ready to fill her forever home with sweetness, resilience, and lots of tail wags (and maybe a few zoomies in wheels one day!). ##2652081##

Story
Phil is looking for a very special understanding home! This 1 year old Frenchie was surrendered to a local shelter when his owners couldn't meet his needs. We have had extensive diagnostics done to get to the bottom of his chronic diarrhea issues and he does have fairly severe IBD which will require lifelong care to manage- medications and a strict prescription diet. He's improved but it's going to be a trial and error process under the care of vets because of the severity of is issue. We are waiting on a recheck and further results but he is suspected to have some chronic irritable bowel type issues, and already improved greatly on a special prescription diet and medications. We are hoping to find little Phil a local home where he can be monitored and follow up with our vet. Phil can be a little standoffish at first and undersocialized but a fun playful puppy once he bonds. He's at that adolescent stage where he can be a bit of a brat testing boundaries at times and needs some training and an adult household to continue to work with him. No kitties for him, and he can be choosy about his dog friends at times. Please submit an application to meet him Primary Color: Tan Age: 1yrs 9mths 0wks

Story
Meet Tofurkey, our awkward little holiday miracle. This ~2 year old bully (exotic microbully technically?:() was bred and born to suffer, but is a complete sweetheart and so happy for any attention. By the nature of his breeding, he can barely breath or walk- bad hips, deformed front legs, narrowed nostrils and an elongated soft palate, and gets winded and overheated easily. And as if that's not bad enough then he had his ears chopped off for cosmetic reasons. His owner was arrested and he ended up in a local animal control dripping blood from a prolapsed urethra (ouch! another common issue in these little gremlins) that needed emergency surgery plus a long overdue neuter to prevent any more of him from existing. He's getting surgery soon to make it easier to breathe, and will need a home that can stay on top of his medical needs longterm. He can run and walk awkwardly but does best on softer surfaces as he sometimes drags his back legs. Tofurkey is stressed in the shelter and would love to find a foster or adoptive home soon... please submit an application to open your home to him. He's 40lbs full grown but with a long low build. Primary Color: Chocolate Age: 2yrs 3mths 3wks
