Story
Location: Dayton, OH Food: Raw Diet Medication:Standard Process brand; Super-EEF, Neuroplex and Neurotrophin PMG My name is Tiffany, and I'm Penelope's talent agent. Penelope studied Ballet at Cincinnati Ballet School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a Principal dancer and danced so beautifully. She was coming out of a Ronde de jambe and lost her footing and fell. After many doctors appointments she has not gained full movement from her waist down. The poor girl lost most of her feeling in her right leg. She still has her pointed toes though! After many people tried and couldn't deal with her dancer drama, BadAss Bulldog rescue jumped in and took over. Penelope is now thriving and slowly getting on her feet. We believe that with continued acupuncture she will just keep getting better! Here is a little snippet from Penelope herself so you can get to know her! I am the happiest girl you will ever meet! I love to play, chew on toys, get pets and treats!!! I've never met a treat I didn't like! I'm a chewer so I always need something to chew on. As you have noticed I don't walk very well. After seeing all these doctors we decided to start acupuncture. So far it is really helping! I'm gaining more stability in the left leg but my right leg still gets a little wonky. I'm standing more and walking some. I use a brace and wheelchair to help me walk. When I'm not in my brace and wheelchair, I'm the fastest dog on two legs!I am incontinet, I sometimes wear diapers and I don't alway know when I need to go to the bathroom. My foster mom tries to give me more outside time so I don't have any accidents in the house. I love it outside! I also love to play with the other dogs. I enjoy tugging on toys with my foster sister, it's my favorite game. I will say that the one thing I enjoy the most is laying in my bed and chewing on my toys. I love to sit there and watch everyone while I relax! If I sound like the bestest best best buddy for you then please fill out an application. I very excited to meet you!

Story
Location: Dayton, OH Food: Ancient Grains - Salmon, Lamb with beef bone broth Medication: Monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Allow us to introduce you to the sweetest, silliest, happiest, cuddle-bug of all time, Leroy. He is a ridiculously handsome Fluffy French Bulldog who was a breeder surrender so it took a few days for him to come out of his shell but when he cracked that shell, out came the best boy! Leroy LOVES his foster family and wants to be near them at all times. Foster mom has quickly learned that even privacy taking a shower is a luxury of the past because Leroy is ALWAYS there staring at her and waiting patiently for hugs and pets! He's a huge fan of ear scratches and belly rubs. He loves visitors too! He just loves, loves, loves people and because he's so cute and has the most adorable smile and fluffy Frenchie booty, he always gets attention wherever we go and he's there for it 100%! Leroy is great with other dogs and has no dog or food aggression with one exception- ice cubes!! He thinks ice cubes are a gift from the gods and he'll protect an ice cube he gets against all of the surrounding enemies trying to steal his cold treasure! Just a simple growl is all he gives and he listens really well when you redirect him! He really loves little kids too and is so gentle with them even if he gets excited and jumps up, it's always a gentle approach. He is literally the softest dog I've ever felt and everyone that's come in contact with him says the same thing. His fur color is so unique and beautiful that it reminds me of the color women in the 70's would spend a fortune at the beauty salon trying to replicate the color even though the color never really existed in human hair anyway. He also has the most beautiful and unique golden eye color that is simply stunning! This guy LOVES to play! He loves his toys (he really didn't know what to do with them when he first joined us) and will just walk around the house or the yard with his stuffed elephant or money just dangling from his mouth. His absolute favorite activity to do is chasing an oversized beach ball! That's when the real fun is happening- for both him and all the spectators involved. He is hit or miss right now on fetch as he brings the ball back sometimes and sometimes he runs to it and then just kinda waits there, which btw he's super cute when he's doing that too! He enjoys playing with other dogs too of any size and although I feel he would do better with a doggie sibling, it's not a total deal breaker if he would be the only dog as long as his family understand that he will be stuck on you like glue and you should be sure to invest allot of money in oversized beach balls to keep him occupied. He has not been around cats in our home so I couldn't say he's definitely "cat friendly but he really hasn't had much of an interest as we've passed them by. We have worked with him quite a bit off leash outside in the front yard and he does well. I always stay out there with him and redirect him if he gets close to the street. He listens well and comes right back close to me. We have a fenced in backyard that he also loves to explore so I would definitely say this guy needs a yard to play in for sure! He has the perfect amount of energy in my opinion as he can be so happy to play, play, play but the next second he's taking a Power Nap and snoring! His diet is pretty simple thankfully and he doesn't seem to have any extreme allergies. He eats Ancient Grains Bison, Lamb, Salmon with a little beef bone stock mixed in. He's a really good eater too! Although we were fully committed to a successful decompression when Leroy first came to us, he made it very clear that the crate was not the place he wanted to be. So because we were committed to setting him up the right way, we stuck it out for over 2 weeks and he was pretty good about calming down when we gently said "No Leroy. After 2 weeks and at the time we felt he was feeling settled, we brought his bed into our room and he sleeps on that as our dog sleeps on his bed in our room too. Leroy goes right to bed when we go up and sleeps perfectly fine through the night. For the most part someone is usually home so the dogs aren't left home alone that long except for us going to dinner or errands. I don't think he would do well if he was left in a crate for 8-10 hours everyday. He loves his people too much! He is great on car rides. But he's more of an observer of what's out the window vs sticking his head out and into the wind like our little dog does. He is house trained but does have occasional accidents still. We are continuing to work on this with him and giving him outside breaks more often. All in all, Leroy is an amazing, loving, sweet Frenchie that will make any home a happier place! We couldn't possibly love this dude more!!

Story
Location: Dayton, OH Food: Wellness Whitefish and Sweet Potato Medication: 1/2 a day pill medication to treat ehrlichiosis (which is over half done from a 28 day dose). Hi! I'm Star, I was rescued from a puppy mill from Missouri. From the day that my Fromma met me, I've been a happy girl. Even though I wasn't too sure about my new environment at first. Since being here for a few weeks I've come out of my shell and really love the attention of both my foster family and foster fur siblings. Big, medium and small, I have really loved them all. I can get overwhelmed though and let my fromma know when I need a break. I've been a real good girl in my kennel and have only had a few accidents since arriving, and that was mostly from the beginning when I thought that the kennel was where I was supposed to go potty. Now, I wait to go potty outside with everyone else! My only medical need is that I have to take 1/2 a pill twice a day to treat Ehrlichiosis (a tick borne disease). At some point I was bitten and never treated so my rescuers tested for all the diseases and found it. Physically you'd never know though because I'm an active and happy girl. Anyone who chooses me will have the very best friend they can ever find. I have the most beautiful almond colored eyes and have so much love to give!

Story
Location: Dayton, OH Food: Royal Canin Ultamino Medication: Lifelong drops for her dry eye Hi! My name is Diamond and when I came into rescue from a puppy mill in Missouri I was quite literally a "diamond in the rough". I had a skin condition, ear infections, and dry eyes that were untreated and infected. I was a mess. Since being in my foster home I have blossomed into a real shiny diamond. I have the most beautiful eyes, and my fromma says that it's like looking into the eyes of a seal pup every morning. I love a good cuddle and will be your (very) closest companion! I've also become real outgoing and fun, and am beginning to explore the yard on my own without wanting my foster momma with me. I love rolling in grass, on beds, on the floor, and oh yea YOU! I enjoy toys but really enjoy a good play with other dogs. About that, my fromma has all sorts of dogs at her house, from a Great Dane to a grumpy old beagle. And guess what? I love them all. I respect boundaries and am happy to "turn the other cheek" if a pup lets me know that it's not play time. I'm still very young at 2 years old and my fromma would love for me to find a perfect home to call my own. No more wire cages for me! Are you my perfect family? I'm waiting so very patiently for you!

Location: Wilmington, OH Meakin is ready for his forever home! He is a full zoomie lovin' frenchie. The rescues first ever "pink Frenchie" with baby blue eyes  As you could imagine for being 15 months old he is still ready for a fun loving energetic family!! He absolutely loves walks. We typically try to take him on two or three a day! He enjoys everyone's company and steals your heart very quickly. His little nub of a tail wags constantly!! He is a perfect angel in his crate. The fence is suggested just because he's super fast and really enjoys his Zoomies 藍 His ideal home would be one with kids and other dogs or animals. A family that is active and willing to take him on their adventures! He was born to take on life and live it to the fullest!

Story
Location: Tipp City, OH Food: Purina Pro Plan Sesitive Skin and Stomach - Salmon and Rice Medication: Monthly flea/ tick/ heart worm prevention Josie is a 1 year old female French Bulldog. She has a laid back personality but thrives on the owner setting boundaries and a schedule. She would love to have a fur friend to play with, but she would do just fine as an only dog. She loves children, but she would do best with children 8 years old or older. Josie enjoys walks, playing frisbee and ball. Josie enjoys golf cart ride but she is not a fan of long rides in the car, with time I believe she would enjoy it. The ideal family would make the commitment to follow the rescues decompression packet. Josie has been in 2 homes before our rescue and was being surrendered due to not having the time to train her. Teaching her boundaries is very important to her. If you have the time, commitment and patience for this sweet girl please fill out an application.
