Enzo is a 6 year old 1/2 pug and 1/2 Frenchie. He is a good tempered loyal dog. He does not like other dogs and needs to be an only dog. He is very athletic and loves playing with a soccer ball. He will follow you everywhere but is not needy. Does not paw for attention. Not a lap dog, he prefers his own space but loves sleeping on couch or in beds. Although usually sleeps gated in our kitchen. He does have some compulsive behaviors when it comes to balls, toys, etc. He will play to the point of exhaustion. We do not have little children but probably not a good fit. He is crate fed as there is food aggression with our other dog. He also loves car rides, weather permitting.

We found Ziggy on an adoption website like this one. He was 8 weeks old, we dealt with the owners of the parents/litter. He is now 16 months old. Ziggy is unfortunately just not the right fit for my young busy family. We live in an apartment and he needs more exercise and training than we are able to give. He needs some work and consistency as he is a puppy and likes to be vocal and gets excited and jumps. So I do recommend someone with experience handling that. He is housebroken, decent with kids (plays a little rough for small ones), crate trained, and good with other dogs once he calms down (high energy). I would recommend a home for Ziggy with a yard for running, older children, and just someone willing to put work into him and give him the life he deserves.

Allow us to introduce the most magnificent dog, Xavier. Xavier was likely a result of bad Frenchie breeding,.something we see all too often when a breed is very popular, very fast. But his paralyzed back half does not stop this dog from being the most attention loving smoosh on the planet. He wears his diapers happily but does need assistance relieving himself with manual expression. Foster mom has declared this easy, fast, well received, and reciprocated with many kisses and squished. Xavier is a friend to all, and he gets along well with dogs, cats, and every human he meets. Is she a dog? Is she a gremlin? An Ewok? A cat? We dunno…we just know she’s Mrs. Beatrice Bigglesworth and she’s as fabulous as she is sassy. She’s a squat little thing, only 30lbs, but she’s very top heavy. We think she’s around 1.5 years old so she’s somewhere in between “a bull in a china shop” and “snuggle bug” energy…she pulls off both very well. When it’s time to party…gooorrrllll it’s on!!!! She’s got hops for days and will zoom around the yard like a tornado! But when it’s time to snuggle or watch tv she’s all about that snug life and will curl right up on you and sleep the night away. Miss B is mostly crate trained (just polishing it up in her foster home) and completely house trained. She walks well on a leash and can actually keep up pretty well with the big dogs despite her stature! She’s gotten along with all the dogs she’s met and she gets along fine with the kitties in her foster home too. She hasn’t had much exposure to kids but she would probably do best with older kids at this point because of her puppy energy and hops. She was found as a stray in the south so she’s still working on some house manners, like not putting things in her mouth, not jumping up on stuff, etc, but she’s already learned so much and will be a house dog in no time! Above all else, Miss B loves her toys…plushie toys, balls, kongs, bones…she’s not picky but she requires one at all times. If you’d like to add a sassy little gremlin to your life to keep you on your toes and keep you laughing Mrs. Beatrice Bigglesworth is your girl!

This fun boy was part of a forced surrender group but he shows no mean signs of his neglect. He is friendly and a lot of fun. He loves to play!! Definite terrier energy and a great boy to hang around with. He loves people and other dogs, although his barking to get others to play with him does tend to have the opposite effect. He is not mean and does well sharing. He likes any sort of toy but does have a short attention span with them. He would do well with any type of household but will need the basic training of being inside, we don’t think he was inside at all. He does spill his food out and will chew any bed given to him, it will take some time for him to get used to any of that. A house with kids that like to run and play would work great with him or any active family that can wear him out. He is a love and is waiting to share it all with a new family to call his own. Pawnee was a mother dog who was rescued in the fall of 2022 with her 2 pups on the side of the road. She and the pups were in poor health when rescued. One of her pups died, and we found a home for her other one. She and the pups were starving and full of mange. It was apparent that she had either been dumped or that she left a bad home. She was heartworm positive, and we put her through heartworm treatment. Despite her most unfortunate background, Pawnee was a happy dog with a lot of love to give! While with a foster, she slept in a crate and learned how to go in and out the doggie door. This 25-pound love bug is super sweet and plays well with other dogs. She loves people and children. She is one of the happiest dogs ever, and she loves to give. Pawnee is being cared for in Mississippi at this time but we do transport. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
