Story
We found Rosey abandoned on the side of the road, extremely scared and skittish of us helping her. She finally came to us and we got her the proper care she needed, shelter, vet, food, etc. The vet estimated her to be in great health, all things considering, and 6-7 months old. She has taken extremely well to myself, but does not feel the same way about my wife or three small kids. She is scared of them and responds fearfully towards them, even resorting to growling and barking, or even nipping, to get them to leave her a long. However, this is not the case all of the time — she can be sweet and playful with them, but the unpredictability leaves my wife and I nervous about her around our children or other children. We need Rosey to find a good home, with someone experienced with this type of behavior, and can help her become the great dog she has the potential to be.

Story
My name is Tucker. I am a big, lovable, and goofy puppy. I love nothing more than to get love and cuddles from my human. I also love to play outside. I am crate trained and almost completely potty trained.I would do well in a home with another dog my size. Because I am a big puppy, I wouldn’t be a good fit in a household with small children. Although I love my foster home, I can’t wait to find my furever home. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. Apply at Forrescue.net

(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Darla will be shy and a bit timid at first, but after about 3 days, her charming, fun personality will emerge. She’s the perfect mix of chill and playful. Her German Shepherd line means she’s going to bond with you and her family. She’ll be right there wherever you go in the house. Darla knows some basic commands like sit, shake, sit up, and is pretty good about staying (we’re still working on that one). She is spayed, HW negative and current on required vaccinations and is on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. She really wants to play with the resident dogs, but they are older and not receptive to her. She’s never shown any aggression toward them. She’s curious about the resident cat, but the cat has successfully avoided her, so not sure of her actual face to face reaction. Darla will be a great family dog for those with kids 8 and up. Someone who works from home will be ideal for her. Darla is house-trained, rides well in a car, and will sleep in a crate all night, if the crate is in your bedroom though she is not really a fan of it. She’ll also sleep just fine on a dog bed in your room, and not make a peep. Currently she has been left loose in the house for up to 5 hours without any problems. She loves squeaky toys, though they won’t last long! She also needs tough chew toys. If you’d like to meet Darla, simply fill out a non-binding application at https://forrescue.net or email info@forrescue.net.

Story
Marilyn came to Off The Chain Rescue barely a year old and with 3 puppies. Her pups all were adopted and she has been with us since, some 4 years ago. Part of our "inside" pack, Marilyn has learned good manners. As with any active animal, she needs to burn off excess energy and have her "zoomies" but is otherwise good as part of the family. Marilyn will make a great addition to your household if you are willing to provide her the necessary exercise in a yard or dog park. Why not come meet her and see what a great girl she is?
