Story
Meet Andy!Andy is a handsome male German Shepherd mix with a strong, loyal, personality and a heart that bonds deeply with his people. Like many shepherds, Andy is intelligent, alert, and devoted to those he trusts. Once he forms a connection, he will be a loyal companion who loves spending time with his person and being part of daily life. Andy will need a very specific home where he can truly thrive. He does best as the only pet and is not good with other dogs or cats. Because of his need for a calm and predictable environment, Andy would also do best in a home without children. An adult-only household with someone experienced with shepherd-type breeds would be ideal for him. He also does not do great with any type of livestock. He is up to date on current vaccines and is waiting to be altered. If you're looking for a devoted best friend and have the right environment for him, Andy may be the perfect match!

Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Miranda is a sweet girl with a playful temperament. She doesn’t know how big she is and can knock you over if you’re not ready for her. She gets along well with other dogs that can match her play style. She can be mischievous when she hasn’t gotten her exercise or had her mental stimulation for the day. However, she corrects easily. We’ve even taken Miranda out to a local “Bike Night” and did so well that folks couldn’t understand why she hasn’t been adopted yet. The sounds of the loud motorcycles and loud music didn’t phase her one bit!

Story
Marilyn came to Off The Chain Rescue barely a year old and with 3 puppies. Her pups all were adopted and she has been with us since, some 4 years ago. Part of our "inside" pack, Marilyn has learned good manners. As with any active animal, she needs to burn off excess energy and have her "zoomies" but is otherwise good as part of the family. Marilyn will make a great addition to your household if you are willing to provide her the necessary exercise in a yard or dog park. Why not come meet her and see what a great girl she is?

Story
Introducing Peacock (A568632) to our followers!Peacock is pretty new here having just arrived about a week ago, but we couldn`t wait to share her with all of our followers. This girl is absolutely stunning and full of personality. Peacock is definitely down for anything if it means being close to you. She likes spending time outside in our play yards, but spends most of her time outside just checking in with you. That`s not to say that she can`t be independent because she can definitely entertain herself, but she really loves spending time with her humans. She doesn`t appear to be food motivated, but squeaky toys do catch her attention and she will gladly chase after one in the yard. Peacock has not been tested with other dogs yet, but feel free to check back later as we will update as soon as we know how she does. If you like big, sweet dogs, then Peacock might be the one for you!Peacock is estimated to be around 3 years and weighs 60 pounds. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed or neutered and given a 30 day flea or tick preventative.Ready to meet Peacock? Stop by 4950 Triana Blvd SW in Huntsville, Alabama. No appointment is necessary to meet our available animals. All adopters must be 19 years or older and be able to provide a valid ID.
